The wind across that runway is awful at times...almost gale force winds...the pilot is just doing his job..and should have anticipated this as it is well known.
I think it was the second pilot who tried to land the plane, and she was "new" and not very secure, when the wing touched the ground the first pilot took over. But the way the plane comes in to the runway is completly normal in crosswinds :D nice to know!

well it tried to battle the wind by comin in at an angle but it was underestimated severly and very bad judgement

congrats to the pilot... The left wing tip actually touched the runway but the plane was later repaired and ready to fly again a couple hours later
