Great vid lads, made me laugh watching it, the angles were awesome (might have to adopt them in a camera vid in the future :D) and the dancing was err, pretty good too. Nice to see the Speed out with the Sumo, I used to work for Triumph and ride a sumo 125 myself :). Great upload, favourited for ingenuity haha :).

i reckon if you had two really hot riders thered be nothing in it, but average to good riders the motard will always be faster through the corners, they are just so much lighter and easy to chuck around

Regarding the horses for courses.... there's the whole offroad aspect the DR has as well....

as the guys will admit none of them are brilliant riders but yeah the motards are usually faster on tight corners and seem to be able to brake later. he's popping the DR up in second gear, can only get it up in third off a rise or bump though.

cool! you can see the dr650 has got it all over the triumph in the tight corners but no hope on the straights, nothing new there. what gear are the dr wheelies? usually you can only get them up in first ha ha

second gear, he can only pop it up in third over a crest. problem is the bike is dead standard, even the exhaust pipe so there's just no extra power with the higher revs

Is the gearing standard? I have standard sprockets 15/41 and even with a flat slide carb, pipe & air box mod I can only get it to pop up in 1st, only barely in 2nd if I lean waaaay back and grab the throttle. Is he clutching the wheelie up? The gearing is really tall. Hopefully going to 15/44 will help me.

if you mean the dr650, standard gearing and he's popping it up in second gear, or third gear if off a crest. on the triumph, clutching up in either third or fourth, with standard gearing. @leemartintaylor
