  • great video! What did you torque the turbine shaft nut to?

  • my turbo went out because my motor spun all the rod bearings and all the metal shavings ruined the seals in the turbo. The turbo has always burned a little oil though so maybe oil drainage is part of the problem. The reason it came apart so easy is because this is the second time rebuilding it in a year. I bought it with bad seals, rebuilt it and it worked good until my motor went.

  • How did your exhaust housing come off so easy? I guess mine has a little rust on it, and would it be safe to say if my turbine wheel has some oily residue on it, that there is a bad seal somewhere? Thanks!

  • What was the main reason for this turbo going out? I did notice the 12AN? size drain? Maybe improper oil drainage, alot of Eclipses running this turbo are blowing them from improper draining which requires 19mm ID from Holset and to achieve that one has to use a 16AN (since 14AN does not exist) to use for draining. SOrry if I posted alot of info, just like to help out
