You don't have to believe me, but I can say with 100% certainty everything that goes on with that show is real. Took me awhile to accept it too; it always sounded ridiculous and staged to me, but nothing is faked, and things like Tom coming out aren't planned -- they're consequences.

There is SOME level of a safety net because of the type of show they run and the expectations they have to live up to, so that gives them a degree of freedom to reduce inhibitions, but it's not fake in any way.
