@MrStig691 Yes that was what I was stating if you didnt noticed thank god that Brundle can be professional and not be completely bias like previous commentators that sat at his side before Coulthard another very honest commentator
@skynet091287 Didn't they still have V10s in 2006 or was that the first year I guess of the V8 era. I remembered the first year two teams still had detuned Ferrari V10s; Toro Rosso and can't remember the other team.
@supercooled No they began using the V8s in 2006. It simply wasn't legal to use anything else... I miss the old times where you could use anything you wanted! look at the past 10 years, the cars look and sound, pretty much the same as they did then. With all their restrictions on testing, why not allow some fredom for the teams to develope new concepts. What they only used in Formula 1 and other top level motorsports 20 years ago, are pretty much standard on many of todays roadcars!
@skynet091287 Well, times have changed so too must the sport I suppose. I hear by 2013 we'll have turbocharged i4. If they can pump out 800bhp and scream like all get out, I'm all for it. It's also why we've lost BMW and Honda because of all the money Ferrari and McLaren throws at the sport. I want to see a more competitive grid rather than just Ferrari, McLaren and RedBull dominating week in week out. Even Renault is only a shadow of its former self now.
@supercooled One way to make the races more interresting could be to change the way they qualify. I think it could be interresting if every driver gets only ONE lap to set a time, then they could play it safe, or take a risk! And if you think Renault is a shadow of itself, remember back to when Schumi won his first world championship with Ferrari in 2000, that was Ferraris first title since Jody Schekter became world champion in 1979! All teams have their ups and downs...
James Allen always sucked hamilton's cock on the commentary, every 2-5 minutes he kept sucking off to hamilton really annoyed the shit out of me. I'm glad he got the boot.
I think he's just settling in it remains to be seen whether hell do the 2010 coverage as well, however overall Id say this years coverage has been a big improvement with much more interactive coverage during the race and the forum after the race.
& the Brazilian F1 coverage isnt biased towards Felipe Massa?! Right!
The German coverage used to be biased towards Michael Schumacher, & the Italian coverage is biased towards Ferrari, the Spanish coverage is biased towards Fernando Alonso. Finnish coverage is biased towards Räikkönen etc, etc. I dont think he hates Massa although he points out his mistakes but then he points out most driver mistakes including Hamiltons.
The Brazilians do tend to be biased towards Filipe Massa. Thats not to say that they only love their own. They have always made fun of Barrichello.
The only person for them in Formula 1 that could never have done any wrong was, and still is Ayrton Senna. Around the Interlagos district there are pictures of him everywhere. When I first moved to Brazil, from England, I thought that they just loved him because of the Martyr factor, but I now know that even when he was alive they worshipped him.
Oh, about the Brazilian coverage... you're so damn right!
I'm Brazilian myself, but sometimes, I feel ashamed of the unnecessary cheering of announcer Galvão Bueno towards the national drivers... Well, if I was in his place I'd cheer as well, but less-pronouncedly.
i think u will find he is biased. and he hates massa. if u watch the singapore gp he blamed massa for the fuel rig incident when it was the teams fault. plus i'm glad to did'nt get retained for the bbc in 2009
@trisnoon James Allen? What about Steve Rider? He ONLY talked about Lewis Hamilton, Within 10 seconds of appearing He'd mention Hamilton and his chances.
I don't think James Allen was that bad, credit where its due he had a harder time of it than Martin he had the task of replacing the legendary Murray Walker! Obviously he wasnt quite as good as Murray but I thought he did a solid race overview.
I wish I had Martin's commentary here in the States. He puts so much energy into an onboard lap... it just makes you go "whew!" at the end. Thanks for posting.
Brundle is very professional despite being british he is able to stay professional unlike Allen and worse Leggard

@QOTSAPT "Despite being British"
The British have the best coverage and the best commentators for F1 by FAR.
Two ex drivers. Which other nationalities have two ex f1 drivers professionally and technically commentating F1?

This has to be 2006, it's the "old" Renault livery, but it's clearly the V8 and not the V10 from 2005...

Brundle is the Motty of F1. Best sports pundit going - period.
Hasn't driven competitively since '96 but seems to know the sport's ins and outs.He makes up for that half-wit Allen.
If the BBC don't snap him up they're missing out big time.
