There's tons of regulation of alcohol, and people die/become injured/ill from it directly or indirectly (drunken abuse) from alcohol all the time. Cannabis, however? Not a single recorded death from overdose. And cannabis related illnesses pale in comparison in both statistical quantity and severity than those of alcohol. Without regulation, it's doing pretty well already.

I Know what marijuana does. Physically it is not dangerous. I would say far less alcohol. A drunk thinks he can beat any train across the tracks. A person stoned on marijuana sets at the train tracks for two hours trying to decide if he can make it across before the next train. I know lots of alcoholics that work their tail ends off every day. I have hired pot heads. They show up at 11;00 if at all and can not remember to bring their tools. Pot heads are laid back cool . Drunks are pricks.
