  • Really tried hard to get into Shearwater because I'd heard a Talk Talk reference. Never worked out, but kudos for spreading the word and doing a good cover.

Mark Hollis of Talk Talk said they'd never perform this or any other song off of 'Spirit of Eden' live because the reproduction would fail to live up to the recording. This is proof that it could've worked.

  • First you have to understand the person who Mark Hollis is, and than you can say that it can not be preformed live. There are many reasons he never preformed live.

  • For one it's that for him it got harder and harder to preform the songs live. cos the albumversions was always the last station for a song. To preform it live would be that every time 'reproduce'something that was in the past. The second reason would be that preforming live cost so much from Mark. He simple no longer had the energy, the will of going trough a live tour. The only way he still could preform was to start drinking a lot and preform. See Montreaux DVD and you will see this process

  • So why The Spirit of Eden could not be preformed live? Simple 'cos the album is what the music was ment to be in the end... there was no reason again to play it live... It could never be the sublimeness of the album... But you have to understand Mark I think :)

  • This is awesome!
