    While I'll admit that I troll quite frequently, in this case; posting a valid opinion, is not, in fact, trolling.

    My point stands; For something made in blender, this is pretty fail.

    I will give the creator credit for changing the background from the (ugly) default blue, but nothing else about this really pops.

    Grade 10 info-tech students do something like this in their first class, and are animating pixar lamps etc within a few weeks...

  • @pr0pr0 I kind of figured that out by your profile.. :P And I won't say this is the neatest thing I've seen in blender, but if he's just self-taught and haven't been using blender for so long? If this was his first attempt at something more than a few boxes in different textures and some changes in lighting and it turned out alright enough for him to want to share it? Ofc this is a mere "theory", but it would render the "fail" part of it redundant.. Fail is most often in the eye of the beholder.

  • @IntoxicatedHumans listen man, you can call me a troll all you want, but i'm standing by my statement.

    It doesn't take much longer then an hour or two to fugue out the fluid / physics simulations in blender, it does most of the work for you.

    The only thing that's really difficult is doing armature animations, and even then it's more a tedious pain in the ass then a challenge.

    Blender's only -true- challenge is memorizing all the shortcuts / keystrokes.

    (apparently they don't believe in GUIs)

  • @Piedoom0 I'm not bragging about my knowledge, this simply was not very impressive, and I stated that. If you defend someone's mediocre "work" how are they ever going to be motivated to get better?

But just drop it- it's not worth pursuing. If he wanted some so called "motivation" as you said, he would ask for it.

Blender is a program- whether it is difficult to use is up to the individual user. And really, why must you use profanity? I only have a difference of opinion- this isn't personal. Saying those things really makes you seem quite uneducated.

  • @Dragonicafan Yes an not... Its like all software... When you start is verry hard, and after its verry simple. But blender have a special GUI... A verry bad GUI, so its difficult. But on the next version, the GUI seems to be simpler.

  • @FunAndOnly dip shit, you have roller coater tycoon 3. This is a 3D modeling program, making what he did will take you years. Not not place some rails and call it a day. You have to have skill at modeling, one not smooth section and you messed up. And its not all easy interface, takes time and effort to just learn how to use it. not some game.

  • It's very easy. You don't even have to set any properties for the static objects, just set the ball's object type to rigid body and make the bounds a ball. (Now you can use squishy things in the game engine as well, but that wouldn't roll too far.
