I used to hear this in class "Yeah its easy when the guy just stands there" well gee, how are you going to learn?? And what about the wooden dummies, or a punching bag, they are only elements of learning, sparring is the next step, to learn how to use these things against a moving opponent, this is like "phase 1"

This is simply a teaching on WHAT TO DO, of course its different when the guy is fighting back but you have to learn the moves first, of course he has sparring in the class, but you have to be shown how to execute each move before you get into a fight.

You cant just have a guy come at you like a hurricane and teach a student what to do, you obviously dont understand how to teach, this is standard teaching, against an opponent serving as a "body" in which to practice where and how to strike.

Its strange how everybody is a critic, you take one look at a few minutes of a guy's teaching and put it down. You should be more humble, Lester has rumbled with the best of them, Mark Hall (UFC DAVID VS GOLIATH CHAMP) Mark Denny, Paul Vunak (sp?) The Dog Brothers, Muchados, Bruce Lee 3rd gen. teacher...etc.,

Lester is one of the best, he is known worldwide, in fact he is licensed from places around the world.

be sweet if the guy just stands there and lets you do this. like the knee the calf thing, would work if they didnt move while you do it. i see where ur going in someone these videos, but theres more to it then just thinking about slowing him down for later in the fight. hes gonna wanna also to damage to you and if ur busy with kneeing the calf ur not really protected or holding him down good. maybe u could come up with something from the half guard and elbowing the outside of the leg.
