But I've known many people who have studied abroad on their own and have successfully assimilated into the culture, some of whom are now actually living in the country in which they studied. It's a really great experience, though, and I wouldn't change mine. Let me know if you have any questions; I'll do my best to answer them!
I really want to go abroad to study, but I doubt any of my friends would. Is it daunting being in a strange country, knowing no-one? I suppose it is.
