do you have any tips on using flash bombs? whenever i use them, the damn thing doesn't get stunned 80% of the time. i definitely throw them in front of his face, so i'm sure what else i'm doing wrong.

@nneeki throw it a bit farther from the face. throwing it in front will decrease your chance of stunning it. if you are face to face with rathalos, throw it behind you. the stun will still trigger. ^_^

do you do the tail last all the time? i find it very helpful to do it first because im greedy and he always gets me with his tail so i take it out first...but i guess its easier for me cuz i just use gs.

you know i've come to find that hitting his shoulder and inner wing makes him flinch more often, does that lead to a greater weakness then his head? whenever i hit his head and go to roll he hits me with a head butt and run attack or a tailwhip...but with his shoulder two hits flinches four hits in rage and it gives me enough time to dodge him...i dunno i'm just curious and sharing my experience i mean no disrespect ^^

@necrocannibal99 technically, like what the description said, its weakness are the wings and not the head. but i prefer hitting the legs, as i love to see him stumble down, then i'll smash its ugly face or cut its annoying tail. ^_^

@project0omega No you can still get plates without cutting the tail. I was doing hammer runs on silver rathalos for rubies, and got several plates.

they are weak againts thunder so use true devil slicer ( same attack as smolder with thunder attribute.)

if u payed attention then you would notice that when he spins around quickly he uses fireball if he does it more slowly here comes a fireball but when he flies acroos the arena i dont know sometimes its a fast spin sometimes its slow

hi i need some advice i am trying to get 2 rathlos rubies for making rathalous soul helm and legs u class. ive beaten the rathalos 3 times ive had no problem killing it but im trying to capture its ahrd cus they dont limp as they dont flee to sleep. is there anyway of noticing when he is close to death i have 3 weapons i used all 3 failed. purse bop (hammer thunder ele) smolder (drag ele) and true devil slicer (thunder). if you can help ill be very thankfull

use TDS. place a shock trap, right before he goes into the shock trap, flash him, so when e's out of the trap, he's flashed. attack his tail only. it should take you 2-3 flashes to get his tail off.

Silver Los is Weakest to thunder and his weak spot is his wings. with true devil slicer on silver's wings is a 2 hit flinch rate. i have owned sooo many silver los. and regular los isnt weak to dragon either. i believe its ice, (it may be water). only rathian and pink rathian are weak to dragon out of them. Gold rathian is also weak to thunder and her wings are also her weakspot. that should clear everything up :)

not long just remember that every monster fights different thats why i dont do certain monsters when im speed challenging someone cause my los flew around constantly making the quest drag into 20-25 mins true devil slicer can take him down fairly quickly too

u do know that silver rath has 0 dragon res but has something like -3 thunder res so you well kill it faster with a thunder sword/whatever. oh and its weak spot is not its head but its wings. but brakeing everything is a good idea tho it helps get more stuff from the mission

Silvers main weakness is the wings, not the head. I normally level 3 GS charge the wings, you can easily block in time because of the flinch if you don't have HGE, i tend to use jolly roger for extra carves so it's a good tactic :)

Yes it is i got it way back in MHF2 doing the 'japanese download / memory card swap trick' but hopefully in MHFU there may be an official way of getting it seeing as we now have access to official puppet tickets, you never know......
