You are correct about the native environment for a bearded dragon, which is desert. The drago's inside enviro is desertlike. However, on a nice warm day, Kuniya absolutely *loves* to run around the backyard. Since this video, Kuni has discovered another tree across the yard that not only is a cinch to ciimb because of its bark, but it affords him a view of the park next door if he climbs high enough.
@StickerMedia They are half and half. They like the dessert very much and the high heat. But they are also a bit of a jungle animal. Mine loves his enclosure and I made it tropical and forest like. He likes the jungle more than the dessert. Too boring for mine in the dessert :P
@PowerRussia4eva there are different species of bearded dragons, the most commonly kept are the central bearded dragons which come from central australia (this extends from the very centre of the country to inland coastal australia. The central/inland dragons are desert dwellers. There are also eastern dragons from the east coast, western dragons from the west coast and so on. The coastal dragons are bush dwellers, and then there are the rainforest dragons also. I'm australian,I have centrals

Why are you keeping him in a forest-like space? Mine were always kept in a desert-like one, thought they couldnt stand plants etc.
Excuse me if i'm wrong! ;)
