ive never jumped befor and probely wont for a while because im loaning a 16hh horse! lol and im still a kid, but i still feel nervouse cos my mums friend who teaches me to ride knows someone who teachees aswell and is going to start teaching me. i'm nervouse jut incase she wants me to do a jump. (even if its little). Any tips. (remember i dont have a clue how to jump)
Don't go by this video then! This was when I was first learning and I would get left behind or do too much. My only suggestion is to remember that your Two Point, or your jumping position, is the "Up" in your post. (when you post up and down). Keep your shoulders back, and don't lean forward too much. I'd do a lot of riding in your Two Point at the post to help build those muscles (it will make you sore at first!) so they're strong when you start popping over jumps.
I kno this sounds weird but i used to ride an older ex-racer, bay thoroubred male horse named ED! i first learned to jump on Ed! lol. be weird if it was the same horse but i doubt it. lol. keep up the great work!!! love thoroughbreds!!! =) <3
i havent jumped yet...lol. i just love watching ppl and their [or who evers...] horses :) lol...... it looks like a lot of fun!!!!!! i cant wait till i get to jumping!!!!!!!!!!! :D lo.olo....lolol...
he is in really good condition, for a 23 year old, i think it is quiet good that he is lazy, because if he was wizzing about all over the place, he will get tired quickly, i love the horse, and think your a great rider, (i tip forwards all the time) x
yay for people with old horses! i ride a 22 year old appendix, and we show at level 1 and 2. some people say i shouldn't ride him, but he's still going strong!!!
