  • This documentary is an absolute masterpiece. Loving but even-handed, ambitious but humble, unassuming but professional... man! What a treat. Thank you so much for this.

  • My favorite childhood cartoon.

  • Nice work!

  • I've got the DVD of 1 and only season. It's Great!

  • Great job!

Not only does this evoke fond memories; but, and this is perhaps most significant, it tells a story about a man with vision and driven by true passion.

  • One of the best things about this cartoon was back then, it was Science fiction in the 60's now it is science fact like vertical take-off jets we have the harrier, 2-way visual communicators some cells have this capacity, this cartoon was ahead of it's time!!!

  • Music I remember since I was a kid. Great Stuff! Nobody since has put such notes together that conveyed such a specific message with the animation. Whether it was "frolicing" about, or the "crap hitting the fan" the music made the moment. Intensity, Action, Humor, Intrigue.....it had it all! Thanks Chris!

  • Thanks for this. What great memories. I am sharing all the original episodes with

my 9 year old son and he is as hooked as I was.

  • Sorry! I was talking about the music at 1:28, listen it

  • Any person who didn't remember or enjoyed the song played at 2:28, has not lived! that music rules! it's amazing! In the 26th part must be more action music, but... it's no longer available! can anyone tell me why or doo something about that, specially the person who put up the documentary?

  • @TVseries24 Yeah I agree completely. Though the one at 3:56 is not bad either. :)

  • My question is-is the music available anywhere? If so, where?

  • I hope the JQ movie be better than that The Thunderbirds movie. What a Bummer that was.

  • This music is great it can take you to the next level, by that i am referring to running or mayve driving a 10 speed 18 wheeler through the mountains.

As you go to the next level , you do sprints running and pushing yourself. For an example, the drums are the pigmyes chasing you, you have to escape so you run faster and harder and so on.

As a driver the music gives you confidence not to get excited as you go down the mountain and around the sharp curve.

  • my congratulations to the creators and everybody involve!

  • What is it with that Wikipedia slide?

  • I was wondering the same thing? as if something isn't on Wikipedia lol. Especially something like this

  • thanks so very much for posting!

    all the best and saludos

  • Thanks again for posting this. I don't know if it's just a miss-numbering thing or what but it seems to be missing parts 23 and 26.

  • Some kind lawyers from Cartoon Network and some place called WMV seems to have ordered them taken down, claiming copyright. A shame, since this seems to be quite an educational documentary.

  • @shonokin

Unfortunately it seems that some kindly lawyers have taken offense and required their removal. A pity since I only found out about this tonight.

  • Zac Efron will play Jonny Quest on the big screen. Yikes.

  • That was the most awsome doc of a very talented comic strip artist, you have made me a fan of your work.

  • 1:43 "get a good look at aquesio, you heathen monkies!"

  • 4:23 - 4:30 lmao at the trumpets

  • Thanks Chris for posting this, and your friend for all his hard work putting it together! Please let us know if it becomes available somewhere else besides USENET.

  • Heartfelt thanks to the mystery man who made this documentary labor of love. I was only a year old when JQ premiered, but I've enjoyed it over the years in reruns. Now my son enjoys it too. Watching this documentary has inspired me to try a little harder at my own work.

  • I'd Like to thank cartoon network for Playin this when I was a kid. Gave me a chance to see some of the best cartoons i probably would've never seen due to my Generation.

Awesome Music.. This story is really inspiring

  • Speaking of music, the "Jonny Quest" music was also used in a few episodes of "The Flintstones" during that series' last two seasons, as well as the movie "The Man Called Flintstone."

  • I am a huge Jonny Quest fan and had this been on the DVD set it would have made an already great set even better.

  • Damn, I love this music. Time for a JQ movie.

  • A JQ movie is being made! It stars The Rock as Race Bannon.

  • Damn fine music, from the best American animated series EVER.

  • Maybe I missed this earlier.....but who did "put it all together" and for what purpose? The whole article must have taken a great deal of time and research.

  • Thanks so much for putting this together Chris! I enjoyed every minute of it.

  • I wish I could take credit for "putting it all together"! I just posted it, others, whoever that mysterious entity is, are responsible for making it. But I will certainly pass on

    you kind words!

    Be well! Chris

  • Words fail me. A long overdue tribute.

  • Really well made doc. I watched from start to finish! Thanks for opening my eyes. ;-)

  • Without a doubt the most well researched, informative and enjoyable docu-vid about the Quest saga anyone has yet produced. This excellent effort reminded me why this amazing program will always be etched on my psyche.I was there 44 years ago, immersed in the adventures of Jonny, but thanks to this outstanding production,I can appreciate the show today on many other levels.Only a true work of art and labor of love can stand time's test as Jonny Quest has. A "failure" of the very highest calibre!!!!!

  • music at 1:30-2:50 the drummer is rocking so hard - awesome!

  • Chris, thank you for this insightful, informative and riveting masterpiece. Obviously this was a labor of love and exceptional expertise on your part. Superb work!

  • This is an amazing tribute. It kept me glued to my computer from beginning to end--all 27 "episodes". Kudos to the creator! The love and hard work it took to make this documentary is much appreciated. A must see for any fan of the series or animation in general.

  • I took two days to get through all 27 of your sections on your video history of classic Jonny Quest. Bless you for giving this amazing show the tribute that it deserves. I'm 51 years old, and am old enough to remember watching the show's first evening run back in 1964. (I was a great time to be a kid.)

    Great Job!!!!

  • Awesome. Very impressive. Thank you!

  • Very informative. Thanks for making this.
