I do not believe that one calorific number works for all; I feel that whilst calories can be useful for some people they are too linear to be optimal. I believe that the amount a person needs depends on their personal past life history, the state of their digestive system, how well they are assimilating the fruit, and their weight and height; and also I feel the quality of the fruit affects the amount we need.
Carbon dioxide is removed from the air by trees, they take in the CO2 and convert it into food or carbohydrates using sunlight and water. Also airborn nitrogenous pollutants are also absorbed from the air by trees.
I just read this about you on rawforlife, Anne Osborne, author of 'Fruitarianism, The Path to Paradise' has spent three periods in her life eating nothing but melon for months! Although her melon diets did include different sorts of melon, she did find that even when she ate one type alone for a while she would 'each day experience a myriad of new taste sensations.'
@natureasintended continued Although conventional nutritionists would issue all sorts of dire warnings about such a diet, Anne says 'During my time on melons, my health and energy levels were always excellent and my weight remained at a stable 112 pounds.' And, on day 47 of a melon diet Anne came first in a walkathon out of 4000 people!
co2 has no significant impact on climate. the activity of the sun is driving temperatures up and down. Thats why in the last 10 years the average temperature is declining on earth. This winter we had 6 weeks snow and it was the coldest january since 1960.
@Mongodelight , then, as an entity which is integral to 'the climate/environment', what do you think it would be like to put your mouth on a tailpipe and suck it? would you feel good? the answer is no, you would die. this is what happens to biological organisms when confronted with carbon monoxide. i think it's probably pollution in general that negatively affects the climate/the earth..
I wanna plant our farm almost completely in trees! Many fruit trees but some elms, pines and other trees. We have many trees already, around forty now. But I want at least ten-thousand! I love trees.
Some amazing and startling facts there, Anne! Thank you for bringing these forward. We need to deal with these numbers often, so the decision between fruit and other not so environmentally friendly option is not so difficult anymore.
A surgeon dentist who was a Natural Hygienist and later became my dentist, in Rockaway Beach, Moe Leichter, told Dr. Stanley Bass that the worst recession of the gums and loss of teeth he saw in patients were in vegetarians and Natural Hygienists who lived mostly on fruit. He said that their teeth were ridged, soft in some, and lacking in calcium. He believed it was best to avoid heavy use of acid fruit.
I think that it is very important to eat properly ripe fruit, especially regarding the acidic fruits. Also the better the soil a fruit tree or plant is grown in, then the better will be its mineral content.
Oranges and Figs are both good fruit sources of calcium.
I also think good dental hygiene is important.
I think the optimum is to find a diet that works for you on all levels, including teeth
I think that a fruit diet certainly would have the potential to provide your son with a diet full of nutrients, mineral and anti-oxidants whilst at the same time omitting many of the foods that are not so optimal for health.
I think that an unprocessed raw diet can really help the brain, nervous and immume systems to function optimally.
Eating more fruit is, I feel, a great step ahead for anyone's health.
What would you estimate your daily caloric intake to be? I am going on a mono fruit diet for detox and would like to know! Thank you.

Thank you for your comment ♥
When I am on a mixed fruit diet, my estimated calorie intake would be around 1800-2000 calories.
When I am on a mono diet, it would be less than this, around 1500 calories or less.
I did need a higher amount of fruit however, when I first started on a fruit diet.
I personally believe in the ENOUGH diet, neither over nor under eating, but eating the amount that is perfect for the individual at the point in time.

@Mongodelight the increased CO2 concentration in the ocean and it's corresponding decrease of pH is not significant?

@Catherine8here most people buying fruits these days buy them unripe. This is far too acid for our teeth. We need to find ways to get them RIPE.
