@saintsaens21 Until she sings and then the spell is broken. Same with so many singers today.  Her, Vivica Geneux (sp?) and Bartoli the instigator of it all! IMHO it reflects a bad foundation. You shouldn't see the mechanics! Distracts from the music.

Quite aside from her beautiful voice, there is something strangely endearing about her facial expressions, as if she is really about to cry but is "toughing it out" to complete her message. I don't know if this has any relevance to the work being performed. Magnetic!

Her facial expressions ruin it... they're wayyy too distracting. I know you need to show expression so that its not just someone standing there, that'd be boring. But this is just a bit much. However, she is extremely talented.

I thought it was Mozaer first. But anyway, it is a lovley singing. It doesnt matter if her eyes are cold as matrielmyra says. It isnt her eyes I listen too. And if she was playing on stage you probely dont see her eyes anyway.

It's an aria from Josef Mysliveček's opera "Olimpiade" (on Metastasio's libretto), so it must be very hard to find the score (maybe in a little shop in Prague, hehe). Mozart also set this text (K 549), but it's completely different. The title on the screen is wrong (the album "Le belle imagini" contains works by Mozart, but also by Gluck and Mysliveček).

If you had checked my profile, you would have been able to guess that English is not my first language, so I may sound differently than I intend.
