Atheist don't "don't believe" in God. They know he doesn't exist. Word "Believe" does not exist in atheist dictionary. You say, "Just because we exist creator exists". This is typical example how our silly human brain works.
So this creator with infinite power and wisdom which no one has ever seen or herd from who created the vastly infinite universe as well as space, matter and energy came down and gave people sheep skin with writing ion it telling you not to lie or cheat or steal? If you believe in god and understand that breaking these commandments would have you sent to hell why do you knowingly break them?
okay okay okay, so you say there is a creator, thats not exactly what atheists are arguing. Atheists argue that there is no force that controls what anyone does or what happens. It is our choices that reap actions.
hmm... i beileve in a creator, like that guy up there said, but all beucase a book says it, doesn't mean it's right. i'm just going off my own thoughts.
Your whole theory of the universe either exsisting or non is just non sense complete and utter non sense to save my breath im gonna let other people help me o this one cause my friend never...never have i seen someone as blind as you.
When will they realise, theres one possibility...
God does not 'exist', its a primitive, irrational, unexplainable theory that has always been an escapism and hope for people who cant accept certain issues such as death and illness....
Well after watching these lame, childish explanations, how can they wonder why atheism is growing in numbers?
In my opinion, he is missing the third possibility which is the that the existence of gods can't be proved or denied, thou it's a complete irrelevant question.
I do not see Atheists as trying to convert people. I see them as people who like to speak about their beliefs to the public. They never say "God does not exist, so come be with us"
However, I see Christians who say "Come to our church and God will accept you"
You Christians make them out to be almost terrorist like. They are just people who choose not to believe in what you do. If you can't accept that fact, then you are really one sad religion
Nothing naturalistic that could have brought the universe into existence? More pathetic logic! How dare you say energy can't be created then say God created it! SHAME! You DISHONOR YOUR FAMILY!
It's like this: Theorists say that humans were created from primordial soup millions of years ago. A random collection of certain proteins and chemicals automatically mixed up in a puddle and created life. That's like saying I took apart my watch, dumped the pieces in a sack, shook it, and my watch randomly reassembled itself. Simply improbable.
Actually, you're missing a couple of ingredients in your watch analogy that are quite crucial to a correct analogy. Space and Time. For example, take a trillion watches and dump each one in a sack. Shake each rigorously for 1 billion years. I betcha you'll get a watch somewhere.
maybe not, but if you took a bag filled with protiens that naturally bind when they come in contact, and you shook it for the entire precambrian era, you would indeed come up with something.
Just so you know, you cannot quote the bible as any kind of proof. Please don't insult our intelligence, you have already tried to insult our lack of belief....
Your myopic view of existence, frankly, it scares me....
I don't think you mentioned one fact on this, that is 5 minutes of my life I can never get back.... ;)
The Bible is not just a religious book of rules, it's a record of the history of certain areas in the middle east. It is a very useful historical reference for both atheist and theist historians.
historical reference that has been CHANGED throughout history to influence politics and religions movements throughout the thousands of years between the time the "Holy" Bible was written and where we sit today.
The Church of God, International... sounds more like a commercial business than a religion to me!
Unbalanced and stereotypes the athiest position. Also fails to provide proof of the creator. Starts with the assumption he exists, then, uses this to prove he does... This isn't proof!
Why are the choices only 1.God Exists 2. God Doesn't exist? Why not add 3.Multiple Gods exist 4. God exists but is part of the universe 5.God Exists outside the universe but he lives in a greater universe that has a different God who exists outside his universe... etc His viewpoint is too much like Bush's. "You are either with us, or against us."
All the poblems are going on in the world because of the relegioun...if you beleive in god keep it to yourself...if you had a common sense you would know how stupid you are sounding in the video.
If you had 'common sense'? Ha. Who knows what that is. Nothing is common anymore, these days. People sharing their beliefs is not stupid. If someone asked if you believed in God, would you answer them truthfully? Of course. It's generally not a good thing to tell people what to do. That's what starts wars.
First of all: Nothing can just have been here for all eternity. It's just ridiculous to even think so.
Secondly: You can't use the bible as evidence that God exists. If there, for instance, was a book about how a glass of milk created everything and is devine et cetera you and I would most ceternly object if I said: Of course he exists it says so in my holy book of the glass of milk.
It would be better if you did not compare God to a glass of milk, Shinganzer, it's very rude to say so and that is the reason why atheists get a bad rap. Also, how do you know that something could not have existed for all eternity? Were you alive that long? In short, don't say things that you don't know for certain.
I don't think you actually watched the video that you replied to, because you just argued against a point that wasn't made.
Asking who/what made God IS an exercise in philosophical futility. That's why no knowledgeable atheist would make that claim.
Such an atheist is more likely to say that the Universe was never instantiated and has always existed in some form. Thus, there is no need for a supernatural creator.
And theoretically at least, it is possible to tell if this is true.
God is in your head mate, that is why you dont need a naturalistic explanation. God is not in mine unfortunately.Hope you re right and i am wrong, would n't it be nice to mass-produced love and happiness for everyone and every day is a day-off day?
Most atheists have given up on explaining anything to religions people because they simply dont want to understand it. That is why we sometimes have more fun asking hard questions about the god they believe in.
Atheists put infinity were religious people put god. I guess the god idea is simpler to understand, but that does not mean its true.
"Try, as hard as it is sometimes, to be good to your fellow human being, try not to pre judge or discriminate him or her and try to respect Mother nature as much as you possibly can" That's it.
If this path is a cast iron route to hell and dancing on flames with the devil for the rest of my existance then so be it. I'd prefer to be there than with a God that's supposedly 'all love' yet allows such attrocities to happen on a daily basis in his/her/its name.
So let's say god exists in another universe, and that he CAN make contact with this universe, wouldn't that mean when he comes to our universe that he would be bound by our universe's laws, which the Bible directly contradicts?
A quote from the video:
"For since the creation of the world, God's invisable qualities -his eternal power, and divine nature- have been clearly seen..."
How can invisable qualities be detected?
And please, share the proof that you have detected these qualities.
Science states that matter/energy can neither be created or destroyed. Therefore, it is eternal. Which is simpler, an eternal creator who spawned the universe, or just an eternal universe?
Where did your god get the material to create the universe? If he created it from nothing, then something can be created from nothing. If he created it from himself and he is eternal, then the material always existed and a god is superfluous.
Why not respect others' beliefs (or the lack thereof) and be good to your fellow man not for fear of Hell but by a personal decision (as the so-demonised atheists do)and leave them out of your proselytising rambles, with all due respect?
Do you claim to be the "Church of God"?
What about:
"I believe in one Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the remission of sins. And I look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen."
Okay! I'm sold... Please, would you show me God? Where is He? Where can I see Him?
And, by the way, why can't all Creation be a proof of the existence of Allah, or Vishnu, or Manu, or (a looong etcetera)?
Be good to each other, not for fear of a punishment in the afterlife, but by sheer conviction that it's the right thing to do, as humans (the way -ungodly, impious- atheists see it); and, please, leave atheists out of your proselytising rambles.
pigironmike: the entire concept of religious faith is absurd...if religious faith is valid there is no statement...no concept so ridiculous it can be reasonably rejected by a rational person...the statement "three monkeys in the atmosphere of jupiter control the fate of men" must be taken as reasonable once the concept of "you must have faith" is evoked.
Your statement that god doesn't exist in this universe is accurate in my view.
If that is your hypothesis, you should be able to give some evidence to support it. The problem being, that is literally impossible. It is by your own definition impossible to prove god's existence. Why then do you then try to deduce the existence of god?
"The fact that we exist is proof of a creator."
Wrong, the fact that we exist is proof that we exist, nothing more.
You said: "I don't understand how God always existed". So basically you believe in something you don't understand.

along with my last comment;
the proof that we exist does not prove that a god made us, let alone that ONE god did.
EMIRIzilla 3 years ago 4
there is actually more than two 'possibilities'.
god exists
gods exist
no god(s) exist(s)
why accept the possibility of one god and reject the countless others?

There are NOT two possibilities,
There are infinate possibilities,
Those two are the most prominant, but you get my drift.
What if GodS with an S exist?
