make sure you buy a good cast iron pulley, or at least a stamped steel one... those crappy cast aluminum ones wear away too quick. Kudos on the spider gear welding - we've been doing lincoln lockers for a few years now :)

Hey i have put on a small pulley on trans. and im having trouble on the engine pulley the shaft is much bigger and goes in the pulley more different. How do i put a larger pulley on it? im stuck on this prob. with tractor kind of dismantled. i want to get back to riding it fun fun.

ummm ya have to get pulley with a bigger hole in it so it fits your motor and to get them off you need a gear puller cause they are usually rusted on get just a single pulley that fits your motor shaft and you have to line it up with the belt and put the keyway in and tighten it down with the hex key and put your belt on, youll need a new belt too to fit it

it can after a while. what i would suggest is fill is with higher speed oil than what is in it, becasue stock grease is only low speed. Also, if you dont need reverse then open your gearbox and remove the chain that connects the reverse gear. This can sometimes become loose and rip apart your gearbox.

u gotta cut the front end in half and add 5 inches to widen it and then weld it sold to the frame if u move it up it will lower the front by a lot

you put a bigger pulley on the engine, and a smaller one on the transmission, but i also take my transmission apart and weld the spider gears together

go to tractor supply co and get a pulle with the same shaft size as your motor i used a 4.5 in pulley on the motor and i think a 4 in on the transmission
