I believe the reason behind why CAPCOM don't want to make Ryu and Chun-Li a couple officially is just because there are so many fans of Chun-Li around. She looks like a goddess in their hearts and that why CAPCOM want to keep her single and just maintain the relationship with Ryu as a friend rather than a lover. Otherwise, some of the fans of Chun-Li may not be happy with this setting. I'm a fan of Chun-Li too, however, I don't mind she is single or couple.

Yes, a lot of people throw names at Chun Li, (ridiculous ones that we don't need to go over), but both Ryu and Chun Li desreve no less than the best. Who better for Street Fighter's King than the Queen, and vice versa? This pairing may never happen (because writers these days like to mess up stuff), but it works on quite a few levels. Nice video. Hope to see more.

It's from a rare Street Fighter II: Animate Movie video game from Japan. They had the same animators and Japanese voice actors do the cut-scenes, and that is one of the few parts. There are others up here on YouTube, including one of Gouki doing a Hadouken.
