Great music but again Lucia loks like she is constipated and is trying to pass a large turd. Does the girl ever know how to smile? Mairead Nesbitt Rules!!!
@gailybird1 Hi.....This is the mix directly from the soundboard; it was too difficult to mix in what the crowd hears. Was great fun to film this though! Monica
She's great... Great tone, great presence, beautiful girl... But I just hated the unnecessary quote she made from the Sibelius violin concerto!! Great besides that!!
an sich ja ne gute Idee und Bewegung ist auch gut beim Auftritt....aber warum müssen manche Musiker (vor allem Geige und Flötisten) immer so abspacken beim Spielen???
Lucia's intro to this song is, indeed, very powerful. But after that, it just falls flat. The reason: Kashmir is a vocal song, not an instrumental song. It just doesn't work in that regard, especially with flute and accoustic violin.
One can only take the wild-sexy-barefoot-Gypsy-girl thing so far. After that, ya gotta actually perform. Lucia understands classical music, but she really doesn't appear to understand rock fusion very well. Ian, on the other hand, has always had it down pat.
This beautiful woman plays with a passion rarely seen. I have noticed that some women outside of "pop" culture especially those playing classical music have the same intensity often seen in men playing rock and roll. Witness the indescribable Hillary Hahn (also a violinist).
Nicely shot video. If you want to see another (and I think better) rock & roll electric violinist click on my YouTube id (69122s) and view the video called "The Amazing Rock 'n Roll Violinist" that I just posted and leave your comments about the performance captured therein.

Good stuff, thank you for sharing. The fiddle / violin sounds better in the low to mid range tones to my old ears. Let the flute carry the high end.
