I know, when you put CURE on something its now a worthy cause, well how about cancer, why are we still walking around busy streets for a cause that hasn't lived up to it's potential? You know why? Perhaps a more personal (less authoritative) title for the video could have subdued some expectations for what it is and isn't ( e.g. "We go on The Autism Walk, DC, '07" )

I thought for SURE clicking on a YouTube site named "Autism Walk" would be some Pythonesque skit with people walking into each other without saying "excuse me" and extremely perfect line walking. They don't seem to understand that it's not for them or others that are able to function well, but for those whose lives are ruined by it. Blood pressure medicines aren't for those with slightly high blood pressure, but for those with dangerous levels, etc.

Agreed. I'm Autistic and I'm very succesful academically as well as in life. I find groups such as Cure Autism now and the like to be very insulting and demeaning as well. There are many successful people with Autism, such as Bill Gates, arguably the richest non-politician alive.

Nicola Tesla was also autistic. If autism had been prevented before he was born, we might not have the contributions he made to science.

Bring on the cure for autism! there's an autistic boy in my form at school, it's kinda sad coz he used to get bullied alot, but he's actually pretty cool, and funny if people give him the light of day, great job raising awareness for something like this, looks like fun, i might fly over and do it next year.
