  • ¡¡¡¡CAZRDAS de Monti!!!!!!...

  • @Hatalia potomu chto mudaki. nenavidyat vse russkoe.

  • bravissimo.. complimenti.

  • This song was made for balalaika ;)

  • What is the name of this beautiful folk song? I need to know!

  • @Chantellyssa - it's not a folk song. It's a classical piece - Vittorio Monti - Czardas or Csardas. Usually it is played with violins

  • @12stel Thanks! I was wondering because it's very similar to the opening of Lady Gaga's song "Alejandro". I do not listen to pop music, but when I heard it playing in a store the other day, I remembered this song/video I watched months ago. The only real difference between the introductions is the instrument being played

  • @Chantellyssa It's the same piece. Gaga picked the biginning to introduce her song "Alejandro".

  • @MrPeterMichael I thought so. Cool that I noticed, eh? Sure I'm not the only one though :)

  • I adore this instrument!!!!!!!!

  • the song s name is CZARDAS by MONTI

  • Hva satan

det der er sguda Ivans sang

  • It is great to see someone playing WITH a musical instrument. Seems to me that he is in love with it. It seems to be EASY as it only has 3 strings ( correct me if I´m mistaken), especially at 1:20 when he begins to play faster. Simply great !!

  • does anyone know what the song is called?

  • this is great. nu pogodi

  • Isn't this Czardas?

  • Yes, this is one performance of Czardas. It is beautiful as is, but in my book, it could have been a wee bit more playful. Misunderstand me correct here, It is a great performance. But what i am seeking is the little extra. Perhaps when the artist is older.

  • the accelerando in the presto section came out nice! i love this piece, and this man is obviously a master at what he does

  • Lindo! Lindíssimo!

  • wonderful!!!

  • Very amazing play for balalaika, I couldnt hear the guitar though, leaving an impression that he had trouble following at some parts. Very good performance whatsoever!

  • Bravo! Beautiful music from two very talented performers!

  • Russian folk music can be very melancholic and soulful, but at the other extreme full of life and rejoicing.

  • @gdbalck although composed by the Italian Vittorio Monti....

  • @giacomolg really? he composed it for balalaika??

  • @gdbalck True, but this is a Hungarian folk song

  • @gdbalck This is Hungarian.

  • @gdbalck not all melancholic.... You can search many many positiv and funny songs!!! One sense - SOUL!

  • @gdbalck This is Hungarian folk music written by an Italian and performed on a Russian balalaika. It isn't Russian music.

  • @Solkovsky kill-joy

  • awesome! beautiful music.

  • Hungarian....you're all wrong.

  • why is that guitarist ova there? does he play anything?

  • he plays the backround, you can obviously hear it if you are a musician.

  • my god!!!!

  • Amazing..and well done to the guitarist whose accompaniment was subtle and sympathetic, allowing the brilliance of the soloist to come through.

  • I love this translation. It makes the beginning sound Italian. (Not to be stero-typical).

  • The sound is actually very Russian. :) Almost stereotypical. It's beautiful.

  • very very russian

  • IT'S HUNGARIAN DICK...but the instrument is Russian.

  • Great!

  • Those things are such a drastic change from guitar. I have played guitar for about 10 years, studied theory for it for 6 and the double bass for about 4 and played it for 9 and the Balalaika is such a awkward instrument from those two, I tried doing some of my guitar tricks on it and that thing is so unforgiving. You have to either play the thing the way it was designed to or it will sound horrible. Hats off to him for the amazing skill he has!

  • i know the feeling, iv been playing guitar style (see my vids) and its not correct. you need to cut off your right hand nails, and use left hand thumb and right hand vibrato etc etc

  • Man, I love this so much! Brilliant, such a beautiful sounding instruments. And just superbly played. Thanks for upload :)
