  • your camera sucks. but i would love to have that effect! I'd call it "Glitch"

  • which one block stuff from piratebay?

  • after saving the file, i click the + symbol, it adds the link to the list.

is that all I am supposed to do?

Nothing is on the list below where it says "Description", "Starting Address", and "Ending Address"

when i click the "Add" button on the bottom left corner of the window, nothing happens. just makes me feel like i have not set it up entirely.

    Final question (I promise)

Can you list some of the URL's that would should be blocking? I have added lists 1-3. what else is necessary for p2p?

  • @triple8 sorry, I had 2 more questions lol. help guys! also @appleistheshiz or whatever, I agree with Raph's comment, only for the fact that you should have used your first recording as a "Rough Draft" so to speak... I guarantee if you recorded it one more time, you would be smooth, concise, and sound more intelligent! you should record it again! that way you can answer some of the questions asked below in comments too! but anyways, good job man! video helped!

  • only question i have is, why do you allow standard ports for List1 and list2? the description on the website says things like "Organizations that have interest in copyrighted material", "companys that have strong interest in stopping piracy"? dont you want to block those entirely?

  • You kept it simple good tut thank you all the beat. *****

  • this is very frustrating to watch. this video should be 2-3 minutes. its 3 minutes of "oops" "nevermind" "no dont do that, do this" "i mean do this" "uhhhhhh" "ummmm" "i dunno" "oh here it is(after looking forever)"

  • @RaphDeathStep dude hes a young kid that can school u anyday on macs...so chill out

  • @hecmang Ummm, hard to find any validity to your statement, being that you have no idea who I am, or what I do.

  • Link doesn't work anymore? Did they stop supporting it?

  • You have big Eyes

  • peergurdian blocks iTunes connection is there any way to fix that?

  • "oh! my balls dropped!" haha. On the serious side you helped a lot mate, thanks.

  • Good video, thank you for your great help!

  • NZ has just passed a 'Skynet' law so i will send to this people i know, thanks kid :)

  • @thesafewordisbanana word!!! im doing the same tor is quite good too :)

  • The Phoenix Labs link doesn't work anymore, so just type PeerGuardian 1.5.1 in Google and click on one of the download links.

  • should i allow std. ports on my custom lists?? please respond. cheers

  • nice hair faggot

  • justin bieber?!

  • Hey man, you should probably block the audio out where you say, "I have a bunch of stuff I didn't pay for.." and then you point to all your programs.. Just a precaution..

  • So wait what's the point of downloading the stuff from iblocklist??

  • that's a nice background of the solar system... where did you get it?

  • when i downloaded peer guardian for my macbook, it wont let me add any ip adresses.

  • @mileyswim21 You have to go to the application folder, right click it, go to resources, and start clicking every link that looks like the peer guardian logo. It should work after that.

  • Peerguardian block the apple time server on 17.151.16.22 - think you'll need to add a rule to enable it.

  • peergaurdian no longer works for mac

  • @Lestatvvvvvv ya it does

  • @JeroB666 first off try downloading from their site , it just sits there NOT blocking anything, secondly anyone with a modem from their isp which most have (csble and dsl) and wireless router, it blocks your local ip but not the ip of the router. The Riaa gets your modem ip , and reports you . Your local IP does not matter so unless you can run this on your modem your out of luck... so where does it work , The fact remains it doesnt work. you run same chance as not running it at all

  • @Lestatvvvvvv Im guessing you have snow leopard, if so then just download it, and go to applications, and right click on peerguardian. Then click show packages, click content, resources and then double click pplogger and pploader, then open peerguardian and then your P2P applications, and it should work, and regarding protecting your IP even more, well it takes way more work, so I'm not going into detail, but these programs do a pretty good job of protecting your IP, to an extent.

  • @JeroB666 I open it but it does not update at all, also freezes up , also if you run it locally it only blocks your local ip not the wan ip of your modem,,,, unless you can put it in the modem itself or a box before the modem

  • @Lestatvvvvvv well its something to do with your mac then? because mine works fine, if not there another bunch of other programs that work like this one, you could give those a try

  • @JeroB666 the mac is fine , an its a pain in the ass I start it up an the list manager starts an the updates all fail to connect but I can switch to the logs an fine it works locally , but the RIAA is not getting that IP to catch you anyways. Its getting the ip for your modem (cable or dsl) your modem makes a connection , which has a ip an thats what they get . If they see a movie downloaded an it goes to your modem then they get your modems ip and report you , they never look at your local ip

  • they only see the wan ip which is your modems ip address so how does a piece of software block them if its on a local machine , when the wan ip is wide open , an its that ip they trace you by?

  • @JeroB666 for those that understand how cable or dsl work your modem connects to your isp an your modem is assigned a ip address, then locally you connect by plugging in to it directly or through a router of some sort. the router then gives you a local ip on your network. Your modem is connected an the riaa etc trace that (the wan ip) not the local ip so infact peer gaurdian has to be in or before the modem to work not on a local machine

  • I downloaded it but mine doesn't have anything under it and there is no PG on my top idk lol

  • @DoctorSmurph Yeah, me too :(

  • lol yea use peerguardian so you don't get caught, and then post a video on youtube saying you got la bunch of illegal music on your computer :)

  • sooo i just watched the video...and i more confused now than i was 10 min ago before watching the video

  • Amazing background, great info.

  • are you supposed to leave PeerGuardian running all the time?

  • thank you!!!

I had some problems with the 1.5 version of PG but when I got the 1.6. it worked fine. FINALLY!! ^^

  • What if should I do if the application will not let me add any urls when I click add on the list manager?

  • People Should update.... your version

  • Hey,

I am confused... For level 1, level 2 urls do I want allow standard ports ticked and active ticked?

  • so if i want to block P2P connections, i have to uncheck "allow std."?

  • nice video but should i get [peerGuardian2] or the new [peer block]? i have windows vista.

  • where did u get the background?

  • cool hair

  • you have to get the 1.6 version of peerguardian if you have snow leopard

  • @iamkillswitch77 Send a link, kus I have snow leopard

  • U rock lol

  • is adding a new list the same for the 1.6b2 version for mac? Also, what boxes are supposed to be checked in order to make sure that the lists are blocking?

  • dude, take that down for real. You are going to get in trouble.

  • Don't admit that you have illegal things on your computer. you should really take this video down, or else you may get in trouble

  • what should i get if i use torrents?

  • wat do u mean what you should get with torrents. you will get the movie or whatever is in that torrent.

  • 3:53 i just soiled myself...aahh dinkle berries!

  • 3:53 is classics almost soiled myself. great vid though

  • do you have to open the program every time you download other programs or using the computer?? or does it block ip adress without having to open PG??

  • @CMedino totally

  • Very informational

  • thanks a lot man!

  • would u make a list of witch ones are most important

  • Put a feather in his Mac and called it Hackaroni:) Thanks son.

Mac iz the shiz. I subbed!

  • May have answered my own question. It may have been a Transmission quirk, but when I turned the filter on AFTER I already started the download, stuff was coming in while the suspicious ones were getting blocked.

  • Transmission with Peer Guardian is problematic. It appears to do its job too damn well, because when it's on, nothing--absolutely nothing--downloads. Is there a way I can help PG differentiate between fun loving peers and the corporate baddies?

For that matter, how do I figure out the difference. I'm still out there having unprotected sex with my computer, but PG isn't quite noob-friendly enough for my tastes. I'm a Mac man. Plug-n-play, baby!

Thanx, by the way, for your selfless service!

  • hey, man, thanks for this. ive been using PG on my pc but had no idea where to get the lists for the mac version.

but, now, i still have a problem. there are some sites the dont show up(being blocked), and things like AIM wont load. for the pc version it was so easy to see what was being blocked, and to unblock- simply click the colored/blocked ip and put them under ALLOWED. but i cant do that with the mac version.

i see the Allowed list on the mac version but i cant open it to add IPs.

    ???

  • i mean this is suck i cant even See where to open the program

  • thx :D

  • ty young man very nice video helps me alot ! i got caught downloading movies i was using peerguardian but i guess i wasn't using it the right way! the block list you provided really helps out ty mane

  • haha sweet thx
