Thanks for sharing that Derek! I've been interested in the Zoom Q3 and curious about how the video quality is. I have very bad lighting in my home, so it probably wouldn't work for me, but the sound quality is awesome, and I love the idea of not having to synchronise video and audio.
@fourteentwelve I recorded this at night so don't be put off by the performance in low light Michelle. I've tested the video in daylight and it's fine.
I've only used it to record twice now. Both times I set the gain to auto and it seemed to work fine. There is a low and high gain setting but I haven't tried them yet.
I'm impressed so far. I'll try it in daylight next time. I'm sure the video is not as good as a quality video recorder but it will do for my purposes.

Sound quality is excellent (as is the performance) but its difficult to gauge the video quality due to low light and added effect.

Nice - are the audio levels adjustable like the H4N? I have trouble with clipping quite a bit (perils of belting, sadly)...
