Anyway... some British actors are just underrated out of the UK. David Morrissey, John Simm, David Tennant... such brilliant, excellent educated, versatiled, adorable performers - but ask for their names in Germany... They all deserve more attention, because they're all perfectionists.

I'm German and it sometimes really annoys me that they don't know them, or if they do they somehow seem not to understand how brillaint, hugely talented and unique they are. Even Hugh Laurie who is very well known overhere because of House, doesn't get the attention that he deserves as an actor. There are a couple of really great actors in Germany but I'll stick to my British guys!!!

@londonberlin89 Yeah, but we have another problem: There's hardly anyone to write scripts slightly comparable to 'Life on Mars', 'Blackpool', 'Secret Smile'... almost don't dare to mention 'Doctor Who'... If 89 in your nickname is the year you were born you won't remember 'All creatures great and small' (took me a while to realize I knew the 5th Doctor a long time before 'Time Crash' was broadcasted). But exactly that series led me to the BBC series of nowadays, finally. I'm thankful... very!

@JeannieGene You're right, I don't know it but it was also broadcasted here in Germany and still is in fact so I could watch it ;)...what really annoys me is that no one cares about 'Doctor Who' in Germany. They've only broadcasted the first and the second series with bad synchronisation which doesn't present the wit at all, not to mention David Tennant's German "voice" so it came off rather badly with incredible bad ratings so they got the chop...very sad but the original is better anyway

I used to work in the arcade at the end. It was called the Lucky Star. Went through hundreds of staff in a year. Many got sacked for stealing.
