dir. cut is really cut up!see the original one on vhs (dvd might be available) that contains the version wihout the lopped off lines and the part where dude leaves a his cigarette in the mouth of the stuffed animal by the intercom.they cut it out,why coens why! a note..sweet as a honey bee should have been left in the orig. but they had trouble with that and had to use i'm a believer for thejuke box selection, that was the only thing i didn't like about the original . the pic is better, dir cut
@handfromspace I like I'm a Believer more by Neil Diamond. I haven't seen the original ending, but I played the song so it would match up and I like it more that way.
There's no point really saying "this bit is like Fargo" and "this bit is like No Country for Old Men", because they're made by the same people, and you know the saying: "A good director makes the same film over and over again".
How could you not mention the piano theme? It's one of the best tunes - I had it stuck in my head for weeks after watching this!
Oh okay. Yeah I saw it a few weeks ago, and then Fargo about a week later. For some reason I couldn't get into Fargo, but I might give it another shot later. I liked Barton Fink a LOT though. Looking forward to your review.
