Malkin DOES drop his gloves. watch at :15 as they circle around and we can see Malkin's bare fist clear as day. I agree he should've been tossed for not strapping his jersey down. The refs probably break up the fight cause they don't want to be responsible if the players get "hurt." Cause they could probably lose their jobs when high paid players bitch or something. Either way Geno was a puss for doing this and not dropping the gloves. Crosby does the same thing, come to expect it from most Pens players except maybe Asham.
