  • anyone know where i can get me one of these dsl100's? every where i go say there discontinued

  • Hey I have a DSL100 as well and recently purchased a Lopo standard 2x12 closed back cabinet (awaiting it's arrival). A good match you'd say?

  • @NiftyBreed Yes I think you'll love it! I've had mine for almost 5 years and I hope to never part with it. Same with the DSL 100.

  • Good Demo! Not a bunch of wasted jibber like many others". Good variety of rythm and lesd styles to demonstrate the tones...Thumbs Up!

  • @dcooper830 what song are you playing at 0:35 - 0:48 ????

    sounds great !!!

  • wow nice sound and great playing !! thumbs up ;D !!!

  • great playing man !!!!!

  • dude you have enough toys in that room to supply a full band!

  • Auwsome Floyd cover!!!

  • How does the marshall dsl compare to Fender clean tones?

  • What are your settings here?? I have one and I can't the lead channel to stop being muddy and there is a really harsh frequency

  • @jagcag123 A lot of people complain about sound issues. I think you should probably try new tubes first. I know the stock tubes for the tsl 100 are Svetlana and they are more of a classic rock sounding tube. kind of dirty and not very tight but great tone. Maybe the case for the dsl too.

  • is the dsl 401 combo much different than the dsl 100 head and cabinet?

  • @miguelpessanha91 It's my experience the DSL 100 head with a cabinet has a much bigger fuller sound than the DSL 401 combo.

  • @dcooper830

I LOVE MY DSL!!! That is all, Carry on.

  • @miguelpessanha91 They have the same amplifier, but obviously the cabinet is different. A speaker cabinet gives it a much larger sound than just having the 1 speaker in the combo in an unmic'd situation. However if the speaker in the combo is the same as a regular marshall 4x12 (celestion g12T-75) which i think it is, then they will sound very similar if mic'd.

  • you are the best! please give us your own material!( i`m glad to be a fan of yours m8!)

  • Nice Vid, Funny I own the Roland GP-8 and a Valve King 212, my other amp is a Fender blues jr. Almost the same, I believe that a classic 30 in the blue ( I might be wrong) Im looking at buying a marshall, could you possibly do a video comparing your marshall to your valve king. That would be sweet.

  • @markstheory Thanks, but I don't have the Valve King anymore. However I can tell you..... if you ever get a Marshall, I'm pretty sure you'll love it! : )

  • Do you need some kind of a noise supressor with this amp ?Does it produce any hums when you have the gain on too high?

  • About how much are these on ebay? I don't see why marshall stop making them they're one of my favorite marshalls i think the new MAs suck

  • love this amp. also noticed that VK, did all my recording with that!

  • can I come to visit so we can jam LOUD :D:D:D

  • Jeez Dude how many Epiphones do you own? All those Amps too! You run a Music Store?

  • wow

  • RATTT! :)

  • nice job!

  • hi...noce video dude!...some people say that kurt cobain used a Roland GP8 to record the smells like teen spirit solo... what do you think about it?

  • mesa boogie studio22+ for smells like teen spirit

  • Everything nice, all good.I too have GP8 and DSL and killer PV's,Yeah.I dig the blue C30 there ! Your a good player, and use some nice gear well.

  • Kool! I found you on the Epiphone Forums.. well done. I subbed and was the 100th rating for this video :P

  • nice job on playing run like hell sounds really good

  • i am soooooooooooooooooooooooooo godd dammm jealous of that set up. sweet guitar. sweet amp. sweet tone.

  • nice run like hell riff, dude.

  • NO look at a Bugera for a cheap version of a Marshall

  • I'm considering buying this amp or the JCM800, but do you think its too loud for bedroom practice, band practice and maybe some smaller gigs?

  • Try the 50watts.. it's sounds the same, and you're actually able to fully turn it up every now and then... Well, quite rarely, but still, more often than you would with the 100watts...

  • i'm sure you've heard this before but 50 watts and 100 watts are only 2-3 decibels different.

  • Amps have volume knobs...

  • Thank you for your useless comment.

  • That's not a useless comment. Amps have volume knobs. Y'know. So you can adjust it to your liking.

  • Comment removed

  • Whatever... Anyways, I would love to eat a Murloc for Lunch!

  • hey do you know any marshall cheap affordable amp thats really good it cant go over 200 euros i dont know if you know what euros mean but it is probardly about 300-400 dollars do you know anything i need a cheap good marshall

  • have a look at an orange tiny terror 15 watt combo/head. that gives u a good british tone for small gigs/recording/bedroom practice.

  • not really anything good, but for about 600 dollars the peavey valveking 212 is pretty good

  • well in canada if u want a pretty good marshall (sorry can;t remember name) their was one i liked that was 30 watts and was only $284 so you could probably get it considering 10 euros is 15 dollars correct? also were from eruope are u from?

  • im from netherlands but i already have something in my mind a pocketpod i heard all the hi gain settings really gots some noise but i can just buy a noise supressor for that i wanted to buy it because i travel pretty much and thats just the thing for me!

  • if you want a good amp for 300-400 dollars you wont buy a marshall. But if you are lookin' for that marshall crunch for around 400 dollars take a look at the peavey windsor

  • I like your setup bro! Keep Rocking.

  • VH unchained the beggining ^^

  • A blue peavey! What model is that? Great playing and tone too.

  • Looks like a Classic 30, every now and then Peavey releases limited edition Amps in cool colors

  • how and why do you have so many amps?

  • I see 3 in the video. That is NOTHING.

  • what settings did you use for unchained?? i have this exact head thatnks man

  • damn dave, i do believe this is the 1st video i seen of yours where your not running a dry signal....whats up with that lol.......j/k....

    you ROCK man.

  • 2:27 ! Pink Floyd :D

  • hello there!...nice video :)

i am looking to buy Epiphone Les Paul Black Beauty 3 and Marshall MG15FX...wht do u guys think? good or bad...

  • the Black Beauty is an awesome guitar man, but the MG series by marshall are not really good, you should save up a little and buy a tube head, I own an original DSL, and its awesome, you should get one, the reissues are pretty cheap, and its a hell of an amp

  • thx man :) ... but i want an marshall amp tht is 15 watts...can u or any one tell me which type of marshall amp is good for 15 watts?

  • a really good 15 watt is the new Marshall Haze, its a tube amp also, its a mini stack, but if money is interfering the MG is really good for the price, but with the haze, it would be a practice amp and studio amp

  • thx man :) but its expensive :( but would the MG series be a good practice amp?

  • yea if u need something to practice on and only practice on then yea most the mini type of marshalls are good, if u don't wanna pay to much. some good smaller amps are Marshall MG4 Series MG15 15W, that goes for about $140 at guitar center, also they have a line 6 spider 3 amp going for about $100 at guitar center with a hand full of effects as well that would be good for practice.

  • well..the only SS 15 watt Marshall is your MG series, I'd say go for the New Marshall Haze, its 15 watts all tube, it will be alot louder, but still amazing for practice.

  • I'm waiting on an order I put in for a Marshall DSL100MLB + MC412 A/B Cabs...I have heard nothing but good about this head I play mostly Rock (Ozzy, Metallica etc) and some Heavier stuff. What is your opinion on this head for those styles, I think it is great for it, just wanted to hear an opinion from someone that actually owns one. pz.

  • Hey! wat do u think of the amp? im trying to choose between a JCM and a JVM,any advice?

  • Roundd and roundd

  • when you by an Epiphone, do you get a hardcase to it ? .. just an Epiphone LP as yours....

  • Can I have the DSL 100 PLZ I will give you a dollar!

  • I'll gladly send it to you for 1 dollar........ plus about $900 shipping charge

    : p

  • lol. I wish I had the $ right now. I have been wanting one for the longest man. I might have to put one on the card....im tired of having crappy Hartke tone!!!!

  • hey i heard that riff before at 0:00 - 0:17 what song is it from>

  • Unchained by Van Halen =)

  • man how many guitars do you have?

    :O

    you fuckin rock!

  • yeah!! run like hell, best song from the wall

  • PAF plus MARSHALL equals RAWWK

  • ROUND AND ROUND I happen tbe learning that solo atm =) I have the 50w DSL the 100 just seems like overkill to me...

  • 100w = ULTIMATE TUBE CLEAN TONE but it is pretty serious also, just takes a little finessing

  • is there any particular reason you bought the 100 rather than say the 50? since its running through a half stack and all do you really need 100 watts? nice playing anyhow

  • dam you nailed the pink floyd the tone+ delay was perfect

  • How did u get all of those amps?

  • I would have to guess he bought them.

  • I meant......why would he have that much stuff and not be playing in a band

  • you'd be surprised what players have at home just for practice..

he has what i'd call a relativey standard setup (of a guy his age).

You just collect amps & stuff over the years.

  • I play in a band every weekend and have been for the last 20 years.

  • awesome!!!

  • @dcooper830 Even if he wasnt in a band, why cant he have all that stuff? As long as he didnt steal it, he deserves it! :P

  • whats the name of the first song??I know its a van halen

  • unchained

  • Ill' Prove That 10 Year Olds Such As Me Can Do Harder Songs Than That Asshole!

  • Yeah, but he's showing us what the amp can do so if we can compare it to the original sound of the artist to see how good the amp is.

  • round and round

  • man you play great.. really love the high gain sound you get from low-output pickups with alnico 2 magnets :) i´m going for the burstbucker 1 & 2 neck & brigde for my les paul :) keep on playing :)

  • hey what speakers do you have in that lopo

  • Celestion Vintage 30s.

  • Great job!Great demo!

    You're a really good player!

  • i belive its run like hell by pink floyd

  • what's the name of the song that starts at 2:20?? need 2 know dammit!! LOL XD

  • it's pink floyd's run like hell

    cheers :)

  • dude thanx a lot! and nice fucking playing!!

  • how do you feel the amp is in the low end and depth wise cause i know the distortion on these are supposed to be pretty beautiful

  • think about the possibilities...EMG 81/60/85,all black hardware, take off the pickguard.oohhh....DAMN!now i got to go to the bathroom to clean the cu...i mean.that would be cool.

  • sweet

  • Hey this sounds great!

I've been thinking really hard about get a Lopoline 2x12 signature cab, how do you like your Lopo (sound, quality etc.)?

  • I can't tell you enough how awesome I think that Lopo 2x12 is. This video actually doesn't do it justice. It sounds much better in person. If you're thinking of getting one.. I highly recommend it! They're very affordable! : )

  • Awesome! I just ordered one of the signature models I can't wait to get it. They're having a moving sale with 20% off until august 4th so I figured now was the time :D

  • You a very good player. I was thinking about putting 57 classics in my les paul. How do they compare to the burstbuckers? That is if you tried them. Thanks.

  • They sound pretty similar to me, but the 57 Classics are a bit warmer whereas the Burstbucker PROs have more high end bite.

  • nice job, hey ive got a question im considering purchasing an epiphone black beauty les paul and i was wondering if they are worth the price vs going out and gettin ghte gibson version made here in the us

  • I think you'll just have to try both. Only then will you be able to decide. The Gibson is awesome.... but I don't want to spend $3000 on it. So I'm happy with the Epiphone that I got for $400.

  • watch those bends dude...nasty habits players have.... play for example 8th fret then quickly bend the 6th of that string up to that pitch....really makes your bends pin point accurate.

  • You have the touch mate.... really nice tone... some great licks!!

  • dude is there anywhere i might be able to get a decent price. i love this amp soo much i love the tone you get its amazing and nice playing i dig your taste!

  • Just watch Ebay for DSL 100s. They usually go for hundreds less than new. Good luck to you! I hope you're able to get one. They're great amps!

  • wth man, did you buy out guitar center or something? cause you have A LOT of gear.....haha. but nice playing!

  • Whats the song from 0:58 to 1:30

  • Its "Round And Round" by Ratt.

  • Thanks mate,

Also would a gibson explorer with 57 classic pickups have a nice sound?

  • ratt!!

  • hey dude ! i got a dsl 100 too, and a gibson lespaul 60 with burstbucker pickups... and i hate them ! i have a epiphone G400 with emg passive pickups, and they sound much better than the burstbuckers ! you see, the burstbucker have a great sound, but not enough gain ... nevertheless, the dsl100 is a very very good amp! you have a great sound with it dude! and your guitar rules!

  • Run like hell =D . Awesome tone and riffage, man. Rock on.

  • whats a 2x12 cab

  • a cabinet with two 12 inch speakers

  • nice playin.

what was that at the 1:50 mark?

  • I got a 498T in my Gibson SG Standard, the bridge pickup. been considering changing to '57's but couldn't find any clip on the web, besides youtube. Thanks for putting this up. Beautiful tone.

  • thats tighttt

  • Wich Van Halen song is it that you play at first?

  • unchained

  • ok i've got a couple questions concerning pickups...wat would u recommend for a blues/classic rock/rock style that sounds good and isn't to hard on the wallet? and also what is the best brand of pickups to buy. i'm lookin at seymour duncan emg and gibson

  • awesome vid

  • best video yet!!!! i am buying a dsl 100 and a epiphone black beauty this weekend after my dad seeing this video. finnaly a upgrade from my old amp and aria pro 2

  • What are you playing at 00:03-00:16?

  • van halen

  • Pointy shred guitars ftw

  • Vandenberg! they're awesome

  • love the 80's hair metal and round round.=D

  • you must be so damn loaded!!!

  • not really. he just buys epiphones and upgrades them. they cost cheaper than gibsons but sound better w/ new pickups

  • they sound better w/ new pickups? hah!

  • i know! what a novel concept

  • Sounds good!

  • great tone, just out of curiosity how many guitars do you have?

  • They sound nice with Marshall's though because of their humbuckers: classic.

  • like single coils don't? Practically anything sounds good through a Marshall

  • I didn't say that "the only good guitar in the universe is a Les Paul." I just meant Les Paul's and Marshall's go together. I'm not interested in debating the matter as to whether single coil is better than double. I actually think that single coils have more bite. But I don't follow trends: if I don't like a guitar's action and sound, I won't play it. Fenders probably outsell Gibson's 4 to 1. I DON'T CARE. I say it's how you play. Pick your axe.

  • les pauls are the shit

  • You always have a similar tone which I love. I want something similar to that sound. An all around rock sound, are you using an equalizer pedal?

  • Sometimes I use an EQ pedal. Thanks for your kind comments! : )

  • No problem. :)

  • Damn.

    You're good.

    -D

  • I really enjoy this video. Thanks for the post! Nice range of tones you pulled out of the amp.

  • What kind of pickups are in your Les Paul?

  • gibson 57 Classic

  • that marshallamp sounds great.combined with a les paul....you can´t top it.I want more

    of that dude.

  • very nice eqipment..i want that marshall

  • dudes anyone whos played a gibson and an epiphone knows the diff, especially wit 60's gibson wit their sweet thin necks yum!!;-)

  • its chris moyles! nice tone

  • thts amazing tone youv got there

  • hey man, great vid, btw, how many amps do you have man, it looks like you starting a collection over their.

  • dude, dont even worry about the amps, worry about the guitars. lol he has like 34625724

  • yeah but if you haven't got the money. by the way i'm using a epiphone sg maestro vibrato and it sounds lovely

  • nice vid

btw why dont you use gibsons theyre better!

  • u actually pay more for the name,, i looked it up and this guitar has the same humbuckers as the gibson model

  • yeah the paying for the name is a problem but the gibsons just sound better (wood and quality etc.)

  • but is a gibson worth 4x the price of a good epiphone?

  • good tone

  • coool :)

  • This is the only video I found on youtube that demonstrates a realistic tone of the DSL range, man.

    Thanks and put more vids.
