And the result is surprising: one-man car company build an exquisite work of Art that's not other car company where hundreds of people debating about their car designing can even manage like Mr.Pagani did.
Performance wise, don't even ask. It's far more superior than the Zonda ;)

This is a much lazier and torquey engine, it only revs to around 6000 RPM, whereas a Ferrari 458 for example, revs to almost 9000 and has a much higher compression ratio.
The Huayra, however, develops twice as much torque as the 458, and amazingly, around 40% more than a Lamborghini Aventador.

If you look at the stats the new Pagani is still a little bit worse than McLaren F1. 700hp vs 627hp, 0-60 3.3s vs 3.2s top speed 375 km/h vs 386 km/h and weight 1350kg vs 1138kg. They manage put only 700hp from biturbo 6.0l that is weak in my opinion. Lotec Sirus from 6.0l V12 biturbo puts 1200-1334hp. Basic engine from CL65 amg gives 612hp

Pagani has a V12 biturbo so is heavier and also wants luxury so you had to add GPS, etc. and that stuff increase weight. If you want a fast Pagani then take the Cinque or the Zonda R.
2nd, sure Lotec develops 1200 HP, how many of them are in the road today? Just 1. Why? Reliability? Who knows?
@Gatotsu2009 There is no excuse that it has a n/a engine, both have V12 just the mclaren redesign the s70/1 with lighter parts. 2 turbines doesn't weight that much. BMW engine is more heritage engine. In McLaren you also have everything, radio with cd changer, navi (gps) if you like. The engine of Lotec is the same used in Zonda's cars- It's a M120. In Zonda R even the same amount of displacement 6.0l. I think is McLaren is simply better thoughtful car. Cinque or Zonda R is more like GTR/LM car
Peak power isn't everything. 700hp is a very conservative state of tune and I'm sure they'll up the power in future releases. CL65's engine is far from basic and is one of the most powerful engines AMG makes for Mercedes' cars. The Pagani is another 1,000kg lighter with 100hp more power. The acceleration on the Pagani will probably feel like a jet fighter.

@KPKonliner I actually didn't really like the way the zonda looked, as far as pure track it looked great, but it looked too utilitarian. This Hyura looks more... refined, like something you wouldn't mind driving slow. The Zonda was purely for fast driving (as far as looks go in my opinion).

I gotta say I love the new-stalgic look of the interior, the leather, and chrome/steel/aluminum combined with modern technology, and the carbon fiber looks great. It really gives that feeling that the car is a masterpiece of engineering.

Compare the SSC ultimate aero and famed Mclaren F1 with the Bugatti and the Bugatti wins simply because of interior design. It's just the best of both worlds with a lot of future left.

@Gatotsu2009 There is no excuse that it has a n/a engine, both have V12 just the mclaren redesign the s70/1 with lighter parts. 2 turbines doesn't weight that much. BMW engine is more heritage engine. In McLaren you also have everything, radio with cd changer, navi (gps) if you like. The engine of Lotec is the same used in Zonda's cars- It's a M120. In Zonda R even the same amount of displacement 6.0l. I think is McLaren is simply better thoughtful car. Cinque or Zonda R is more like GTR/LM car

Peak power isn't everything. 700hp is a very conservative state of tune and I'm sure they'll up the power in future releases. CL65's engine is far from basic and is one of the most powerful engines AMG makes for Mercedes' cars. The Pagani is another 1,000kg lighter with 100hp more power. The acceleration on the Pagani will probably feel like a jet fighter.

The F1 was built to be the fastest car in the world, and the Huayra (and most modern supercars) r built with a huge amount of downforce (which kills top speed) for the track. I think it would be better to compare the F1 to a car like a Veyron because they r more similiar, both r the most expensive, and fastest of their day. This pagani is more like the Ferrari F50.

Ferrari Enzo is slower than F1 on the several track??? You have to remember that McLaren F1 was never consider and built just to do the top speed. You can read it even from Gordon Murray the creator. Look at the Lamborghini Murcielago SV 670. More horspower, more ground 4x4 and still 0-60 3.2s and top speed a lot worst than McLaren F1. And I don't think so that SV could beat the F1 on the track or the street race. I still say this is a best car ever built ever and probaly will never be beaten.

@Crazyalbokid1 they dont have as much hp because their cars are very heavy and they need more torque than horspower, amg engines always have higher torque for those people who know cars usually 150-200 more than their horspower. u need to realize that horsepower isnt everything. if you put an f1 engine with 1100 hp in your in a bugatti veyron it almost wouldnt go anywhere because it has extremely low torque. thats why it has an 8 liter displacement with 4 turbos. it needs torque..

@Mercedes600SEL any engine can be tuned to produce ridiculous amouts of horsepower yo have to realize by doing soo you are making the engine less reliable and wont last very long. any merc, ferrari, lambo, aston v12 with a pair of gigantic turbos could reasonabley produce as much power as you want it to be it 1000-1500 horsepower, however good luck with it lasting as long as a stock lambo/ferrari whatever car the engine came from

Compare the SSC ultimate aero and famed Mclaren F1 with the Bugatti and the Bugatti wins simply because of interior design. It's just the best of both worlds with a lot of future left.

It was built for speed and to enjoy a piece of F1 feel and u will always get it from the McLaren which fails for both Bugatti and SSC. In the end tho, The Bugatti is more sought after by the common man. It has a little of it all. Just my opinion.
