Looking for a song he did in the '60s.....don't know the name but it has lyrics I believe that goes something like this........JULIA WEH YOU DO ME SO....JULIA MAKE CRY SO......
Great to hear SE here, he played solo in Manchester UK some years ago, he was full of a cold and suffering but he did a lovely gig and went home alone to his hotel. A pioneer, with his own label ''Rogiephone''. 'Too Much Miserere Na Good' is lovely or 'Don't Touch me Tomato'' which a lot of Carribbean singers do. Not heard this one before, or "dean man and Weed", His own label! calypso and country and western! Palm wine! No wonder he had so many relatives, everyone loved him!
Would anyone have the song "Sugar my boy" by this wonderful man? If so please let me know where I can find it. I have been looking for 18 years. I need some help
I LOVED Dead Men Don't Smoke Marijuana when I was just three years old. I would chant "Rogie Rogie Rogie" if I wanted it played so I could dance around the living room.
this is my father...i am bruce rogie from san francisco ca. i havea brother name rogee rogers and if anyone who is related or knows the rogie family please contact me and let me know...i do not know my fathers side of my family and i found my brother rogee rogers online..any info that can help me meet my fathers family will be greatly appreciated.
I saw him too in London. Once at The Jazz Cafe in Stoke Newington and in High Barnet. Fantastic. His whole persona just made you feel very happy about everything. I dragged some of my friends to go and see him and they were amazed. Greatly missed. I did get him to sign a Vinyl LP of his for me: The Palm Wine Sounds of S.E.Rogie. It's one of my most treasured possessions.

As a promoter I had the great fortune to bring this warm soul , with the help of others to the people of Liverpool UK back in the 80's .

Black is indeed beautiful, and S.E. Rogie was a master of the palm wine guitar sound. I love all his work. Thanks for making this.
