  • what do you prefer using better ps3 controller or arcade sticks

  • personally i prefer the start/select button on top. My hands don't slide all that crazily that i'd accidently hit the button and i prefer sitting on the floor and my foot will sometimes hit the start button since it's on the front. I was wondering if this was a square gate or an octagonal gate?

  • I would KILL for a stick like that - Patrick Star

  • Looks like someone bought some shoes

  • Awesome. Gonna need a solid stick to help me get ready for Tekken Tag Tournament 2, KOF13, BlazBlue Extend and My Little Pony: Fighting is Magic.

  • @LevelUpYourGame

So I've been using the Sapphire for about a week now, and I will probably never use a controller again.

    But I have a question.

The gate is a four-way diamond shape.

Is that the shape that most Tekken players use?

  • I just ordered the fusion ivory stick...I can't wait to get it.

  • This looks cool I haven't used a stick in about ten years, think I might go back to using one. Question tho seeing as I mainly play online now due to jobs a school and whatnot would it be good to buy one for online play or should I stick with my PS3 controller?

  • Nice stick, nice price, nice review!

  • iam so addicted to ur show :D damn i cant wait to see any news posted on facebook... it's kind of weird but u made me start playing tekken again and trying to move on to the next level away from buttonmashing... since tekken 2 came out i was a big fan of the series but didnt get in too deep, now iam working out my tekkenskills around a year but iam not as good as i want to :D even i have some charakter issues (haven't found my favorite yet).

thumps up! and keep it going!!!

  • Why do these sticks always have the R/L buttons reversed (right on the left, left on the right?) Makes it a pain to use it with other games which don't have fully customizable button layouts. I have the Tekken 6 fight stick and it has the same layout. Never understood why.

  • Nice review. Looking forward to more videos.

Is there a bargain-bin stick that you would recommend? A $200+ stick is too much for someone who is testing the waters. I understand that quality is important, but I've been using a game pad for ages. I'd like to get a "starter stick," if you know any decent ones.

  • @WolfusMandrago If you're just interested in learning then pretty much any older Hori stick will do. Lighter sticks may be hard to learn on, but there's a Hori Fighting Stick for ~ $50. Theres a V3 version now, but I put a good amount of time on the older version when I was learning.

  • @RipNLa Thank you for the response. I'll look into getting a Hori stick.

  • So the only difference between the ebony is the material it's made with, shorter cord, and the cord is not detachable?

  • @Weqqz and the start/select buttons are face buttons instead of on the top/back

  • Gonna try to get the Fusion Ivory.

  • Thanks for the video Rip im new to the whole arcade stick stuff on the console TBH they should just make consoles able to use other controllers on them like ps3 on xbox, xbox on ps3 and so on

    thanks again

    -Ysu

  • If you want to play lett's say Tekken and put your hand above the [], /\, X, O, then your right hand is in the middle of the stick.

Isn't this the reason why the placement of the stick and the buttons on the TE is shifted more to the right?

  • @aabyssx It isn't actually. What I was trying to say was that the Fusion has more space Between the stick and the buttons than the original TE does. Its not much, and I didn't measure it, but its visually noticable.

  • Great review! this video sold me.

  • @LevelUpYourGame

My friend bought the LE Fusion Sapphire.

I heard it uses Seimitsu parts, what exactly is the difference from Sanwa?

And a huge thanks to Rip and LUYG for helping me discover EightArc sticks!

  • @LevelUpYourGame

A friend of mine just ordered his limited edition Fusion Sapphire (is that what it's called?)

I heard it uses Seimitsu stick and buttons.

What exactly is the difference from Sanwa?

  • @Yosogoto I'm no expert when it comes to the internals of a stick, but my understanding is that Seimitsu sticks have tighter springs than the Sanwa sticks which allow for quicker return to neutral. They also take less space to activate a direction so you would need to be more precise on it. The Sapphire has a LS-32 model Seimitsu stick which is supposed to be pretty close to the standard Sanwa JLF (Seimitsu has tighter models LS-40 and LS-56). Buttons - Seimitsu are less sensitive

  • I just bought the EighArc Pearl. if I don't have a 360, then is it just as good in game play as the fusion? does the fusion have any better components or better function wise?

Please, give me your opinion, I looked everywhere, and i wish I had a good deal with the pearl, it's coming soon.

I watched ATPAris review for the EighArc, mainly agreed with what you have here Rip, but he was cussing all around and your video is nice ^^

    thanks

  • @ABONESR If you're not interested in dual modding, then the Pearl and Onyx are great sticks as well. Still sanwa components, similar weight and size, felt bottom. Start button is moved to the back of the stick instead of being a face button. USB cable is longer 10ft and detachable (not sure if detachable is a plus or minus but its interesting). Ive only had limited time with an Onyx but imo, a combination of Pearl/Onyx and Fusion would be best

  • @ABONESR same shit, what's so hard to understand "all sanwa parts", all three models have similar weight and similar styling.

  • And u will play with standart pad, okay.

Thx for the money from this stick manufactured company.

  • @LehaoDevelor actually, I only play on pad in tournament and on PSP. The rest of the time I'm always playing on stick. I know why you'd say that tho, so its all good. For reference, my stick collection before the Fusion - MadCatz TE, Hori Premium VLX, Hori V3SA, Hori Tekken 6 Wireless stick, Mortal Kombat PDP Fightstick, Namco Tekken 3 stick. Not to mention, I grew up playing in arcades.. without pad ports..

  • MAKE MORE TEKKEN VIDEOS, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!

  • @Oshkoshbaby Bogus Journeys continues - later tonight / early tomorrow

  • @LevelUpYourGame There is a God! Thank you :)

  • @LevelUpYourGame

more character tutorials RIP come on dude

  • Nice review Rip, recently twisted an arm or two to get me one of these sticks at Christmas time so I'm looking forward to it.

$70 shipping to the UK though which is a bit of a pain, can't remember the shipping cost of my TE stick but I'm fairly certain it was waaay cheaper than that, so that might be something to consider. That said if you're aiming to dual mod a TE stick it'll probably equal out anyway so I reckon this is still good value if you are in the UK.

  • @Targie interesting. The Fusion Ebony is sold out at this moment as well - so youre pretty lucky to get one. They just released the Pearl and Sapphire versions as well.

  • @LevelUpYourGame What no Leaf Green version yet? jajajajaja

  • WANTS!!!!
