  • Hi, were you using a charcoal grill, or a gas grill? And what were those slabs wrapped in foil paper. What brand of grill is that? I liked it. Ribs look awesome.

  • @supersass2010: Please don't insult the man by asking if he is using a gas grill. ;)

  • Hi. This is great!. Nice idea about removing the membrane. Looks absolutely delicious!

  • Did you switch to the larger size Primo grill? I thought you had the smaller one. thanks.

  • @dankbobby

I have the oval XL & a round. I use to have a junior but didn't use it so it's got a new home at a friends house.

  • Man, you've got some old school experience!!! I just finished watching the brisket (my favorite cut of meat) and it looks awesome. I never marinaded before. I think that's what I was missing because other brisket I've had (much better than mine) was marinaded too. Anyway, ribs look great, a little dryer than I'd prefer but I don't really know cause I can't taste 'em! Keep it up. Thanks for making these videos and keeping southern BBQ alive!

  • @HKGJOHN Thanks I love to share what I've learned. Enjoy.

  • dude I started out watching the asus videos now i'm about to buy some ribs down at the market. I don't have an oval grill or the seasoning you like.

    l@@ks yummy

  • yummy backs.

  • Very nice! Looks great I bet it taste great too!! Thanks

  • Thanks a lot.

  • I like your production and I'm sure it'll get even better with a new camera. I noticed you didn't use a water pan on these slabs. Please tell me what points do you consider when you decide on going with/without the water pan? Thanks again and I like the vids.

    Roll Tide!

  • Thanks. I used to use a water pan all the time but recently I started using ceramic plates as a thermal mass between the fire and the meat. So now all I do is put a foil pan made fron hd aliuminum foil to catch any grease.

The water pan will help you to stablize the grill and make it easier to control it when when using just the vents.

I use a BBQ GURU, see my video, to control my grills during long cooks so that isnt an issue for me.
