This system (YouTube) is unfair in all areas regards to flagging and account termination. Any user that flags for no reason (stupid flags = no reason) should have all their fingers broken and the "flag" shoved up their asses. During the heal time they can think about what they have done. i think people who have comments disabled on their channel should not be able to make comments on other peoples channels. also it would help if anytime people are going to make a DMCA take down notice they have to provide proof that the material belongs to them and they haven't given youtubes uses license to use it by uploading it in the first place.

Sure people flag your underwear video but then they do not flag seriously offensive videos like ones that promote violence! I ran into a video or two that promoted school shootings and idolized the ones who attacked the schools and killed people. And yes youtube's checking system is lousy. Since they can't even seem to reply to users they should get more staff so they could do all these things! More staff to look over things, that's what I want.

The flagging system sure is the worst one. My most recent video was just flagged, a video containing nothing but an editing trick. Now because of that I can no longer use adsense on that video, the sole reason I made it. I feel for you having yours flagged. The time for appreciation for the sharing of information is long passed. There are other options out there for sharing videos. We are not biting the hand that feeds us, YouTube (and Google in general) is biting the hand that feeds them, badly. When a video is made (through much time and effort) for the purposes of generating revenue and that opportunity is taken away illegitimately it tends to stir some negative feelings. Having a video flagged is a big deal to a partner.
Blunty, you're totally right. I think a lot of changes should be made to this site. I look at the top viewed videos of the day everyday, and at least a half dozen of them have sexual connotations to them, and another half dozen are corporately owned, music videos, or spam. It doesn't make sense, and I hate seeing such an amazing medium of communication being used to terribly...
YouTube is an amazing site, and has the potential to inspire, to connect people, to share ideas, and really change peoples lives. Yet its ability to do this is being wieghed down so much by the ever-wanting need for money and income and advertising. I myself am a vlogger, and it really gets me down to see those videos that dont deserve the attention they get while my videos, which I am quite content with, aren't so-called "popular" amongst society. By number, perhaps, so their precious anonymity can be protected, but if user #835748578475 flagged the video, we can find out how many others this one flagged and rate the flaggers as to how big a nitwit they are. Youtube would be too massive for them to take note of everyones opinions, even if they noted people like me who don't have videos as NOT PART OF YOUTUBE COMMUNITY.
Besides, they don't talk VLOGGING, they talk business. Though I do agree that people who flag inappropriately would have disabling their abililty to do so as a simple solution. However, I flag shit videos falsely way too much; because simply, they don't deserve to be put on.

I agree with you on all the change suggestions!
Sure people flag your underwear video but then they do not flag seriously offensive videos like ones that promote violence! I ran into a video or two that promoted school shootings and idolized the ones who attacked the schools and killed people. And yes youtube's checking system is lousy. Since they can't even seem to reply to users they should get more staff so they could do all these things! More staff to look over things, that's what I want.

Self rating is an excellent idea that i hadn't thought about.. I was just thinking that if users can flag.. we should be able to un-flag as well.. give a little more balance of power in the hands of the user.
I mean, we fair minded people are probably not going to flag much of anything.. but we always seem to run into videos.. even educational science videos that have been flagged by inapropriate by people who think man lived with the dinosaurs.

i had a joke video about the jonas brothers smoking wherre i had 3 people with the last name of jonas (all boys) smoking. i named them the jonas brothers so many jonas brother fans flagged my video and it got removed. They Care About MONEY (simple)
#2 YouTube Is primarily used by 12-18 year olds American Children
They are still developing & maturing, many of them are Angry and make this website miserable
Things I'd like to see:
2 seperate YouTube to seperate commercial & copyrighted material from user generated videos (100% original materials)
And as you suggested an ability to define our own videos as 'Family' or 'Mature'

We advocate free speech and freedom of expression, which don't get me wrong- it's one of the best things about this country. The flagging system sure is the worst one. My most recent video was just flagged, a video containing nothing but an editing trick. Now because of that I can no longer use adsense on that video, the sole reason I made it. I feel for you having yours flagged. If the button mashers at Youtube can't even take the time to give your video a good look over mine is hopeless. What we need is a working appeal system.

The time for appreciation for the sharing of information is long passed. There are other options out there for sharing videos. We are not biting the hand that feeds us, YouTube (and Google in general) is biting the hand that feeds them, badly. When a video is made (through much time and effort) for the purposes of generating revenue and that opportunity is taken away illegitimately it tends to stir some negative feelings. Having a video flagged is a big deal to a partner.

I look at the top viewed videos of the day everyday, and at least a half dozen of them have sexual connotations to them, and another half dozen are corporately owned, music videos, or spam. It doesn't make sense, and I hate seeing such an amazing medium of communication being used to terribly...

YouTube is an amazing site, and has the potential to inspire, to connect people, to share ideas, and really change peoples lives. Yet its ability to do this is being wieghed down so much by the ever-wanting need for money and income and advertising. I myself am a vlogger, and it really gets me down to see those videos that dont deserve the attention they get while my videos, which I am quite content with, aren't so-called "popular" amongst society. It's really too bad. Thanks for the video :)

A method for flagging the flaggers. By number, perhaps, so their precious anonymity can be protected, but if user #835748578475 flagged the video, we can find out how many others this one flagged and rate the flaggers as to how big a nitwit they are. Oh, and there are prudes everywhere. Just that in the states they don't actually *watch* the video before flagging it.

Wrong. While I might be inclined to just let you have "England built America", not all whites are from England. And even if England had not colonized us we would still have had whites. Lets not forget that Spain and France had colonies here too. And the mass migrations of white europeans escaping persecution or famine would have occured regardless.

God Youtube definentally needs a better response system like you said Blunty. It really does seem like youtube is ignoring us. When we ask to do some small thing which would only take less than thirty minutes to correct, whether it's a minor glitch or a widley disliked asshole, they take more than a month, maybe even a year, or maybe never to correct the problem.
