@grandpoobahful I don't know who Spike Jones is. This is not just someone in "a tux with tails"; this is Michelangeli, one of the greatest classical pianists in history. Although that is all he is, a pianist. As far as I know, he didn't write anything great. The fact that he's wearing a suit has nothing to do with it. It could be Hendrix, Dylan, Coltrane etc. Making a joke like that is totally regressive. Some people actually find this moving. I guess you wouldn't understand that.

@MyNameIsBenneth I don't hear it. Imperial March is a fast-paced march, Chopin's is slow. What u hear is the same "march beat", but not melody. Williams was inspired by 19th century music when he composed Star Wars using Wagner's letmotif technique from the Ring operas of having a melody represent a character or thing. i.e. "the Rhine" theme, "the Force theme", "Brunnhilde's love for Siegfried" "Han and Leia's love theme". Imperial March is fast and loud, Chopin's march is slow/somber

But if John Williams "stole" from anyone it was Wagner. Listen to the music in Siegfried & Gotterdammerung, he was inspired by that. I wasn't even thinking Star Wars here. I was too distracted by the great musicianship of this handsome pianist.
