  • @aomf58 You sure? Not to be a bitch, but do you happen to have a source? Just want to be sure before I start calling it that. A second-opinion, if you will.

  • @Anonym0109 I was figuratively saying it meaning that for me this piece sounds like Resurrection. Sorry, if I confused you.

  • THE RINGTONE OF MY MOTHER IN LAW

  • Very Beautiful music

  • Great song!

  • why do these videos often turn into a battlefield for failed musicians that only criticize people who can play?

  • @paleandpoisonous It's YouTube.

  • He looks a little like Walt Disney. Is that suppose to imply something?

  • this man looks so CREEPY !!!

  • the undertaker lives.

  • what an incredible player, his finger movements and the way he plays the song really characterize the song itself, at the more dramatic moments when he hits the music out of the notes

  • Reminds me of the imperial march from star wars, awesome song though!

  • What a musical legend

  • @TheSammylly Die.

  • I can hear a squeaky voice saying, "Kamala, at SummerSlam, you meet your maker. You will meet your end. You will meet my UNDERTAKER! RIP Kamala!"

  • @fellerredseller Because it is going to be the death of my math grades. And it was too, I failed that test T_T

  • @enest94 SAME!

  • chopin was more an ambient classical composer using the pedal constantly and created great music,i am a mozart and handel fan mostly but i love chopin and all the great composers

  • @grandpoobahful Must you be so juvenile? I seems that most people nowadays can't take anything seriously. People have traded profound and emotionally provocative experiences/moments for jokes about farts and masturbation.

  • @benroo89 please.........get off your high horse........Spike Jones has as much musical and social validity as someone in a tux with tails........music is captured emotion...mourning & grief (As addressed here) and other equally important ones like happiness, silliness, and dont forget joy.....Maybe if you let out some of that hot air from your pompous ego (making a HUGE farting sound...lol) you would stop being at odds with someone trying to lighten a mood.....

  • @grandpoobahful I don't know who Spike Jones is. This is not just someone in "a tux with tails"; this is Michelangeli, one of the greatest classical pianists in history. Although that is all he is, a pianist. As far as I know, he didn't write anything great. The fact that he's wearing a suit has nothing to do with it. It could be Hendrix, Dylan, Coltrane etc. Making a joke like that is totally regressive. Some people actually find this moving. I guess you wouldn't understand that.

  • @benroo89 my point is that you are a pompous ass.....look up spike jones...he had an important role in history helping maintain the spirit of our nation here during a time of war....

  • @grandpoobahful My point is that you don't even have a point. I'm the opposite of pompous; I just don't appreciate completely crude and unintelligent jokes. It seems that so many people nowadays (generally younger people and especially Americans) seem to have trouble taking things seriously. If the emotion of this piece goes over your head, don't listen to it.

  • what an intense song :)

  • is playnig chopin??PLS

  • @vikVictory96 read the description

  • @trompeloeil100 aaa ok thanks man

  • @vikVictory96 Chopin died in 1849 :/

  • I love this music...

This music its feel in my heart!

  • ABM is absolutely MAGNIFICENT here!!!

No words to comment this master interpretation, the best rendering of this landmark piece on YouTube, IMO....

  • @iamalion91 "42 dislike" THIS is the answer I guess.

  • I'm not austrian, but i've heard Chopin is REALLY great in Austria

  • The ability by Michelangeli to re create every musical score remains insuperable

  • @mrbrandolese -Well said.

  • ㅋ

  • LUTO

  • No.1

If I had to choose one single piece among all classical music to save forever I'd choose this

  • This is so..perfect..

  • what year was this?

  • @SDAdancer2014 Uhm, sometime between 1959 and 1961 if I'm not mistaken.

  • i learned to play this by ear today i feel so accomplished

  • 2:33 onwards: now i know why tom and jerry made funny faces when they played the piano (did i mention the cape?)

  • BREATHTAKING PERFORMANCE. SIMPLY ASTONISHING.

  • This is the best interpretation of the Marche Funebre that I've heard. Furious, intense.

  • es tan hermoso que me estan dando ganas de morirme

  • @TheSammylly

You are an ignorant who does not understand what music is.

  • @Fernandocatan and strunz

  • Comment removed

Cmq lasciamo perdere inutili polemiche.

  • Chopin composed this tune?? I've heard this a million times, but I had no clue it was Chopin!

  • you know when you've created an incredible piece of music, if whenever you think of what the music is about you associate it with the song. its like when i think of death, i think of this shit. fucking chopin man..

  • LA MUERTE BELLA, algo que solo Chopin pudo crear.

  • A.B.M. plays in a marvellous way ! We call his style as " Liquid "

  • @ElectricalProcess I want this at your funeral too.

  • @ElectricalProcess Call me weird, but I'd rather listen to this music before I'm dead

  • incredible music

  • Sounds a lot like John Williams was inspired by this song for his Star Wars theme.. Does anyone else hear it?

  • @MyNameIsBenneth yeh i hear that too... i think "imperial march" sounds almost exactly like this one!

  • @MyNameIsBenneth I don't hear it. Imperial March is a fast-paced march, Chopin's is slow. What u hear is the same "march beat", but not melody. Williams was inspired by 19th century music when he composed Star Wars using Wagner's letmotif technique from the Ring operas of having a melody represent a character or thing. i.e. "the Rhine" theme, "the Force theme", "Brunnhilde's love for Siegfried" "Han and Leia's love theme". Imperial March is fast and loud, Chopin's march is slow/somber

  • @OperaMystery80 Yes, this is what I was referring to. The march beat, not the melody. Proves you heard it too, though. Only in the first few seconds are the similarities notable, dies out in about 15 seconds.

  • @MyNameIsBenneth Most marches are in the same beat (4/4) but the tempo varies. All waltzes are in the same beat too but that doesn't mean they all sound the same. But if John Williams "stole" from anyone it was Wagner. Listen to the music in Siegfried & Gotterdammerung, he was inspired by that. I wasn't even thinking Star Wars here. I was too distracted by the great musicianship of this handsome pianist.

  • @OperaMystery80 Oh, yes, I understand, and am familiar with Wagner. Just pointing something out, I agree with you more than I agree with my former self on this point, thank you for enlightening me.

  • @MyNameIsBenneth which one exactly? cant hear it.

  • Luck be with thee, Mr. Pascal. To the ocean, from which we came, receive Lt. Pascal. May god have mercy on his soul. - Down Periscope Don't tell me this didn't remind anyone else of that movie.

  • we need to play the marche for those 40 people

  • @qhubbles they don't deserve it.

  • @qhubbles Seems like we're going to have to up that to 42. Some people just have no taste when it comes to fine classical music. Sad, isn't it?

  • MOAR GHOSTS N STUFF

  • 40 people must have had this played at their Funerals

  • This man.....his eyes are closed. He is a genius.

  • @codenine1 Dude many musicians actually play eyes closed... It's to focus better on your sound.

  • 40 people are actually dead?!
