  • About 20 minutes, Bill says you can use a mop of baking soda and vinegar to crisp the hog skin as it cooks. Can anyone comment on the amount of baking soda to use per quart or gallon of vinegar? Also, should Apple Cider Vinegar or White Vinegar be used? Does this work with indirect heat?

  • Hi Bill; one of the reasons I quit whole hog compitions was the judges never cook a hog , so how can they be a judge ?
