Warnie! Enjoyed his moment in the sun on this occasion, as he got murdered in the following test at Eden Gardens. One thing I definitely notice in clips from this series: Indian pitches turned more back then. Warne got quite a lot of turn in this series. Now, they're flat as a pancake.
Virat Kohli could very well be better than Sachin in runs if he plays that many years, Sachin has been playing for 20+ years, no wonder he has so many records.
@gaurav0narwal hey guess what, no-one gives a fuck, no-one ever will give a fuck either, it isn't a fucking lottery, next time, think twice before making such an idiotic comment.

Good God ... !! This may as well be in black and white. It seems so long ago that Australia were any good. Meanwhile India are copping an absolute anal pounding in England atm. Both Aus and India desperatly need to find some good youngsters and start rebuilding. May take 10 years to get near the No1 spot again. Until then England will dominate. Cheers to that :)
And as for the Bradman debate, batting in his time was much more difficult as the pitches were uncovered and so favoured bowlers much more. @bodommed666 Number one test team - England. Number one One Day Team- Australia. Number one T20 team- England. Worst piece of shit cheating scum team - India.
@HeRsHeYsKiSsz But if it was so high-scoring, can you show me players who averaged anything close to 99.94 in test cricket in Bradman's day? Because Kallis, Dravid, Ponting, Sangakkara, Jayawardena, Sehwag et al all have averages similar to or exceeding that of Tendulkar. Conversely, no one was on the same planet as Bradman.
Furthermore, though there is more cricket against more teams in different formats in the modern game, the equipment and sheer quality of pitches make up for this.
Congratulations for your national holiday today India!!!
In 1947 India became independent from the UK. Since 64 years!!!
This means 64 years a successful history created by hard work and disciplin. Today India is one of the economical most important countries on our planet and I hope you will stay in these great position. of course there are some social or environmental problems but i´m sure your are able to conquer them. Best wishes for the future from your friends in Germany
Before this series, in 10 years of first-class and international cricket, Tendulkar hadn't managed to score a double ton, and it felt as if it would never come.
But, in the Mumbai Vs. Australia tour opener, Warne went for more than 100 in 16 overs, Tendulkar got his first 200+.
I was sure that in the first test, he would continue from the double century, but in the 1st innings, he was out in the first over of coming to the crease.
Great spin bowler against a legendary batsman. Leave the comparison, people and enjoy cricket! Some of you tend to get carried away and lose objectivity.
Warne isn't as great as the Aussies think and Tendulkar isn't as great as the Indians think. Still once-in-a-generation players and very enjoyable to watch. Top stuff, Rob!
I'll be going to bed having nightmares of Sachin just running down the wicket and belting me back over the head for six. He was unstoppable. I don't think anyone, apart from Don Bradman, is in the same class as Sachin Tendulkar. He is just an amazing player- Shane Warne
@waistyleme Never knew that Warne bowled to the Don :-) Learn something new everyday! Agreed that Tendulkar is a great batsman, but Warne's statement reeks of an outrageous lack of forethought there. There are at least a dozen batsmen that I can name between Don and Sachin. One of them was from the same town as Sachin, used to open the batting for India and managed to score a few thousand runs in an unfriendlier era.
isnt Shane warne the one who said that he sees Sachin hitting him for 6 even in his dreams......common man ...Sachin proved himself,,,its the matter of good day or bad day.....20 years of cricket and that shows his mettle.
I think the Indians are too sensitive. He just meant it as a joke. God, get a grip. I know a lot of you guys think he's a God, but in the end he's a human too. He can make mistakes by getting out to bowlers. He can be made fun of at times like others. Just chill. Nothing will take away his tag of being one of the greatest sportsmen of all time !
@puntxyz If you're not residing in India you don't know how much people respect him. It's as if someone has insulted someone in your family. We're not a joke. We're damn serious. =|

Navjot Sidhu, Tendulkar, Laxman, Dravid, and even match fixer Azhuruddin have all dealt with this guy so heavily that there aint any point of even replying to pathetic posts like this. Even shit face stuart macgill has been dealt with comfortably by indian batsmen. Only spinner we ever feared was Muttiah Muralitharan in his own back yard. He would have dealt with Ozzholes more comprehensibly as well, but they started a Mad Max type siege campaign against him to put him off his game.
Thanks for uploading this Rob. The tension in the air is palpable.
This was just a sighter for your "Flopmeister". The Indian second innings was much more fun. 155* if i can trust my memory. Azhar declared with a lead of around 300 at lunch on the 4th day, giving the Aussies 5 sessions to get 300. Kumble cleaned up the Aussie batting pretty quickly, i think.
Shane Warne is a great competitor but then its funny to say Sachin Tendulkar as flop against Shane. Check the record of Shane Warne against Sachin and you will know. They played in 12 test matches against each other, yet Shane succeeded in only 3 occasions, only once in India which your video upload shows and twice in Australia way back in 1999. He never ever dismissed Sachin in a test match after the 1999 series. Whereas Sachin hit 5 centuries & 5 fifties in those 12 matches. Simple facts
@pradeepanisonline Nope , title is correct. It was the 3rd test Sachin played vs Warne, but the FIRST in India. Warne didnt play the one off test in 1996. This was Warne's first test in India.
Why are so many people so very poor in their cricket knowledge and so quick to 'correct' me when the info is freely available online? Surely looking up the info first would be better than to have a go at me.
@robelinda2 do you have videos of all of Sachin's centuries.. both tests and hunders? It's his birthday next sunday! Wanted to make a video of his tons!
I remember this match! Warne was complaining that he didn't get the baked beans he was used to. I remember he made a big fuss and got them flown down from OZ just in time for the second Innings. One of the best test series I've watched. Speaking as an Indian ofcourse... Great memories... Thanks for the post!
Great video.. 2 ofthe most gifted players the sport has ever produced.. I'm Indian and Sachin is my idol.. Sachin has gotten the better of Shane a bunch of times and likewise, Shane has gotten the better of Sachin many times..
some desperate ozzholes like this uploader are always counting the hairs in sachin tendulkar's asshole. australian racist bastards are now in deep trouble the drunkard captain Fucky Cunting had to resign. if you ask robelinda2 he'll tell i'm a great sachin fan :-) and the very next upload will be something like this ridiculing the greatest cricketer of all time sachin tendulkar. Ozzholes are still being proud of Don BRA-man who was just an average batsman in 1940's
@randomfuns Yer Bradman was average in the 1940's up until about Nov '46 when WWII finished and international cricket started playing again. Then he dominated like all other years he played.
The ICC (Reliance) have a ranking system. Go there and find Tendulkar ranked #1 ... for about 13% of his 22 year career.
You can also find Tendulkar in the list of ICC Best ever ratings scores for Test batsmen of all-time ... in 26th place ... about 25 spots below Bradman.

Rather than the ball which got him out, I would say the ball prior to that was an absolute ripper. Bowled from wide of the crease, lovely dip and angle into the right hander and then ripping away. Tendulkar then was in prime form, almost like what he is now and was beaten all ends up! The fact that even he did not nick it in that form testifies as to how great a ball that was!
Jeeezus, I can't believe how the Indian fans who have commented on these vids lack even a minimal sense of humour. Lighten the fuck up you idiots. It's just a game and Tendulkar is not "God". He's a great player but he gets outs, gets injured, and gets hit in the groin region every now and again like EVERY OTHER PLAYER!

In the 2nd, he got that beautiful 150.

Imrankniazi 10 months ago
I'll be going to bed having nightmares of Sachin just running down the wicket and belting me back over the head for six. He was unstoppable. I don't think anyone, apart from Don Bradman, is in the same class as Sachin Tendulkar. He is just an amazing player- Shane Warne

robelinda2 10 months ago
@waistyleme Never knew that Warne bowled to the Don :-) Learn something new everyday! Agreed that Tendulkar is a great batsman, but Warne's statement reeks of an outrageous lack of forethought there. There are at least a dozen batsmen that I can name between Don and Sachin. One of them was from the same town as Sachin, used to open the batting for India and managed to score a few thousand runs in an unfriendlier era.

A little batsman named Sir Donald Bradman--had an average of 99.94, you haven't heard of him? You mustn't know much about cricket.

isnt Shane warne the one who said that he sees Sachin hitting him for 6 even in his dreams......common man ...Sachin proved himself,,,its the matter of good day or bad day.....20 years of cricket and that shows his mettle.

He would have dealt with Ozzholes more comprehensibly as well, but they started a Mad Max type siege campaign against him to put him off his game.
dhillon28 11 months ago
Thanks for uploading this Rob. The tension in the air is palpable.
This was just a sighter for your "Flopmeister". The Indian second innings was much more fun. 155* if i can trust my memory. Azhar declared with a lead of around 300 at lunch on the 4th day, giving the Aussies 5 sessions to get 300. Kumble cleaned up the Aussie batting pretty quickly, i think.
arvindr25 11 months ago
Shane Warne is a great competitor but then its funny to say Sachin Tendulkar as flop against Shane. Check the record of Shane Warne against Sachin and you will know. They played in 12 test matches against each other, yet Shane succeeded in only 3 occasions, only once in India which your video upload shows and twice in Australia way back in 1999. He never ever dismissed Sachin in a test match after the 1999 series. Whereas Sachin hit 5 centuries & 5 fifties in those 12 matches. Simple facts
elnino2469 11 months ago 47
@elnino2469 I dont get it, where is anyone denying those obvious facts?
robelinda2 11 months ago
@elnino2469 He calls tendulkar as flopdulkar because he fails everytime against australia :-)
bsv1425 10 months ago
misleading title - this was the 2nd test match where they both played vs each other.
pradeepanisonline 11 months ago
@pradeepanisonline Nope , title is correct. It was the 3rd test Sachin played vs Warne, but the FIRST in India. Warne didnt play the one off test in 1996. This was Warne's first test in India.
Why are so many people so very poor in their cricket knowledge and so quick to 'correct' me when the info is freely available online? Surely looking up the info first would be better than to have a go at me.

@robelinda2 yes, my bad ! thanks for all your videos Mr.Videopedia.. great service to cricket fans..
doesn't make you anymore knowledgeable though ;-)
pradeepanisonline 11 months ago

robelinda2 11 months ago
@robelinda2 There is no way you can call him 'flopdulkar'. Watch it. watch?v=m9lIg7PWd3I
Also look at what Warne has to say about him in the end.
P.S: Don't be so paranoid kid. No one's gonna kill you for nothing, :/

I remember this match! Warne was complaining that he didn't get the baked beans he was used to. I remember he made a big fuss and got them flown down from OZ just in time for the second Innings. One of the best test series I've watched. Speaking as an Indian ofcourse... Great memories... Thanks for the post!

some desperate ozzholes like this uploader are always counting the hairs in sachin tendulkar's asshole. australian racist bastards are now in deep trouble the drunkard captain Fucky Cunting had to resign. if you ask robelinda2 he'll tell i'm a great sachin fan :-) and the very next upload will be something like this ridiculing the greatest cricketer of all time sachin tendulkar. Ozzholes are still being proud of Don BRA-man who was just an average batsman in 1940's
randomfuns 11 months ago

The fact that even he did not nick it in that form testifies as to how great a ball that was!
ritadhishankar 11 months ago
hey robe.....u know something, this is the first time i am watching the smiles of warne because of tendulkar............
bheemineni001 11 months ago
Jeeezus, I can't believe how the Indian fans who have commented on these vids lack even a minimal sense of humour. Lighten the fuck up you idiots. It's just a game and Tendulkar is not "God". He's a great player but he gets outs, gets injured, and gets hit in the groin region every now and again like EVERY OTHER PLAYER!
