  • holy shit this the best live performance ever

  • when in doubt do a pinch harmonic!

  • @MeantIILive lmao i was thinking the same exact thing

  • @frosteez11 its not ment to be the same, which i think is a good decision, like how can you top the fall of troy?

    ANSWER:YOU CANT!!!

  • WEATHER OR NOT YOU REMEBER...!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wats Thomas's new band? anyone now cuz i know for a fact he has a new one

  • @skatereck you should still check out Just Like Vinyl!!! but like frosteez said its not the same as TFOT at alll, more poppy like catchy riffs but theres still alot of shredding goin on

  • i just came!

  • they were so much better back at this time, they turned to such shit

  • @bearvsshaan Couldn't agree more, their albums got progressively worse until the last was which felt completely uninspired. That being said, I watch this video probably ten times a week- fucking brutal

  • @Charvel19 definitely man. the performances of seattlantis and excreations in between the releases of doppelganger and manipulator are just SICK

  • i have that same shirt. no joke!

  • @R2D2

    Me too! xD No lie.

  • for those of you who need more tfot check out red museuem. The guy isnt a fall of troy wanna be. Hes from the hills have eyes.

  • He's like a modern day Jimi Hendrix.

    Probably the greatest guitarist alive.

  • @w4fflezZ so far away from hendrix....idiot

  • @DeathFromAf4r Somebody took it way too seriously 0.o

  • how can one band rock so hard... i like tfot more the i used to like nirvana

  • EPIC!!!

  • i agree with myotherhalf33. i'd like to see thomas continue in another badass band... i don't get why they're quitting at all.. TFOT is fuckin awesome.

  • @benjamermandav Thomas told me at the beginning of their last tour he could easily see reuniting in a couple years, and for sure eventually. There were no hard feelings. Hell, he cried on stage talking about the band being over. They just need their space and the chance to do other things musically. Andrew and Thomas have been in a band together since they were 17!

  • Such a fucking rush man. Such a bummer this band is going to break up.

Hopefully at least Thomas or Andrew will continue in another band in a year or two.

Of Stalwart Fads... wasn't very good at all if you know your TFOT history.

So hopefully Thomas and Andrew, fuckin go at it!

  • seeing you guys saturday is gonna be BRUTAL!!!

  • Good sir i will be seeing you tear shit up and tap the fuck outta that guitar TONIGHT!

  • actully felt sick when i found out

  • i love how they can be hardcore, without the use of 15 cymbals. like chinas, spashes, and all the jazz.

  • i love the sound of his guitar raw. and even though this is one of the oldest performances of ex creations stil one of my favs fuckin sick

  • no more tfot...this id their last NA tour and thats it...

  • xD if u come defntly leme know

  • well i think im screwd because i have nowere to stay and i dont have enough money to aford a hotel so... unless some friend comes with me and help me pay the hotel i wont go =/

  • damn you were close to the action.

  • intense

  • that was insane

  • Ohhhhhhhh.. the pinched harmonic at 2:56.. Jizzes in pants.

  • every member of this band is just so incredibly talented!!! i also might get to see them in 10 days!

  • he is such an amazing guitarist, like he is compared with eddy van halen and other guys

  • Yeah, Erak

  • Comment removed

  • No, Thomas would never call it "his" band. Each person brings something unique to the band. Not to mention, TFOT is amazing live, that's a big thing that puts them in the league they are.

  • This song is heavy as fuck live, I think this recording sounds better than the album version.

  • I second that.

  • lol the camera-man was showered by thom's spit

  • for me, i'm looking at the fall of troy as a one whole band and not a one man show...i think thom, andrew, and tim (no frank) have such talent to mixed all kind of genres, melody, skills and filling each other's part...great band, great music....btw that gibson les paul was awesome...

  • i've been looking for a band i can listen to and notice something different each time.

    i think i've found one.

  • well you've picked the best band alive.

  • wow evven without the words (cuz this is an early version of the song thts why hes singing giberish in most parts) its perfect!!!! thomas is a genius and so r tim and andrew

  • Shame Tim got into drug problems and hasn't been in the band for a whiiiile now >_>. Not to mention I believe Erak makes the bass line for TFOT. Tim may be a good player and screamer, but he's not exactly a genius in comparison to Erak.

  • yeah! but who knows maybe tim was as good as erak but he got soo fucked up tht now no one knows or focuses on him at all

  • Erak was a drummer first, then learned bass, then finally went on to play the guitar. I'm pretty sure Erak has more talent than Tim in writing and being an all around musician.

  • yeah i know hes got more talent (especially since hes been playing as a jazz drummer since he was a kid bfore any of this) but wat im saying is dat erak IS amazing but ppl also got to notice tht hes not the only dude in the fall of troy hahaha

  • Hey kjhovey, you shouldn't say things about people that isn't true especially if you don't know them. Because Tim for sure did not get lost in drugs.

  • Well, that's what I've read on many different occasions... you can't know for sure either. It sounds reasonable, though. Obviously these guys like to party... i've been to a show where Erak passed out during the show from drinking to much. You know they do some drugs, how do you know that wasn't part of the case?

  • because they never did heavy shit. tim just smoked a shit load of weed, and drank. atleast hes not doin alot of shit like mgmt or somethin. those dud are doin some crazy shit.

  • From what I've seen/heard, Tim wasn't very happy with TFOT and Erak and Andrew were having problems with it. I don't see how anyone can know it wasn't do to drugs or something like that except for them. Maybe the crap load of drugs and drinking were starting to effect him in a negative way.

  • this guy is the greates fucking guitar player EVER!!!!!!

  • wow.. he played the insane legato part without mistakes... great skills, great show. but his fucking fringe sucks ;)

  • amazing band!!!

  • this is one of tfot's most epic shows.

  • Okay, this is the closest I have gotten to finding a video with a perfectly shown version of the "Solo" in this song. Somehow all the other videos have something wrong with the hammer-on/pulloff part (Audio or Video), or you can't see Erak, as he's hidden somewhere in the dark. Thanks for this vid.

  • 2:15-2:37 EPIC!

  • How does he do it? He's just so crazy at guitar. He's my hero.

  • this is so awsome I´ve lost my my ability to fuction as a human being.

  • This man is god.

  • i wanna go to a show that good

  • Nope.

  • damn... his fingers move so fast.

  • i know dude.

  • why are the uk crowds so much more intense??

must be all these american emo kids.

  • i read somewhere they have lower drinking age or something. regardless, we're couch potatoes and they get crunk

  • all crowds are more intense than american ones.

    its disappointing

  • haha most of the time i dont even know what hes saying but i still think they rock the guitar is awesome.

  • right after "TAKE YOUR TIME! SWALLOW THE GUN" when he sings "TAKE A SHOT!LET IT ROT IN YOUR STOMACH" it sounds like he just stopped saying the words and he RAHHHHed

  • i know right haha meh....it was before the new album so haha like theres no vocals at 2:14 but in the recorded one there is :D

  • this is easily the best FULL performance of this song, the one at the norva conquers all though if you wanna talk sound. i mean granted that was taken from a soundboard but still. haha it doesnt even look like tom's singing if you watch his lips in the beginning, it just looks like hes RAHHHing

  • kind of sounds like a buckethead song

  • A lot of the guitar parts from Fall of Troy songs remind me of Buckethead. Like at the start of Shhhhhhh

  • hah i love that song

  • good filming

  • funny to sim him spit

  • oh wow I usually hardly watch in high quality but dang its like crystal clear

  • this is easily one of the best videos on youtube.. i can get enough of it

  • even when he messes up, its perfect

    scratch that

    he never messes up

  • thom's riffs are so original its sickening, and those pull off and hammer ons before the tapping are fucking disgusting,

  • He makes me want to jump up and down and go crazy. Fucking immense band. I WILL see them next time they are in the UK.

  • holy shit this is amazing quality, they're all so good

  • favorite tfot vid on youtube

  • Anybody know what venue in London this is??

  • the best song the fall of troy has ever created.

    go mathcore!

  • The Fall of Troy doesn't have a "best song," at least not for me. I think the greatest thing about the Fall of Troy, the thing that separates them from so many modern bands, is that each song is unique; each song brings something completely new to the table.

  • i totally agrea with you(yeaarrghh)

  • how can you slap a label on them? they are progressive if anything. only genre i can think of for the fall of troy is.....the fall of troy.

mathcore?? wtf is that, cmon man. :p

  • actually i thought math-core was gay too but its actually becoming a prominent gene. tera melos, by the end of tonight, and behold...the acropus.

  • .....FOT IS MATHCORE?

  • umm basically......FOT is more kick ass metal/rock.

    # 12 looks like you is mathcore

  • No. They aren't.

  • math rock is music that has weird time signatures... such as parlour or maps and atlases

  • TERA MELOS!

  • naa....post-hardcore experimental mathcore

  • progressive :)

  • Yes. They are.

  • tom is like a heavier version of jimi hendrix, tim was like geezer butler, andrew is like a faster john bonam

  • anyone else notice the bad squeelie around 1:00?

im not saying i could come close to doing better. im just sayin...im not saying...just sayin.

  • it's called a pinch harmonic and it's part of the song. they are fun to do cause it makes you sound better than you really are.

cept thomas erak is the greatest guitar player alive but that's different

  • i knw man ive played guitar for like 3 years.

Killswitch calls them squeelies so i wanted to change it up

in the song he hits it though.

  • Tell you the truth I love the way it fits in there, just a personal oppion.:D

  • thomas erak has robotic arms

  • Dude....

This song is incredible, and the feedback @ 1:51 is just about the greatest feedback i've ever heard in my entire life.

  • i know. it has the most perfect timing ever, right in the middle of the silence

  • it's interesting. i found everytime i put my hand up to the mic when im jamming, there is feedback. if you look at the point the feedback happens at 1:51, tom's hand is right at the mic. so in that case, if tom wanted to duplicate this effect, he could try putting his had up to the mic(grabbing his pick or whatever).

  • id agree with you, that bit of feedback is amazing

  • I hereby declare Ex-creations the most hardxcore fucking song ever.

  • lol your a fag

  • I'm BLACK! DONT SAY THAT WORD

  • wow who gives a shit, he was saying "hardxcore" in the sense that he loves it and that its a heavier song, no need to get all literal and shit, besides its his own opinion dude, so just let him think what he wants you know

  • He's like the best guitarist ever.... like seriously. he could be the next eddie van halen?

  • cant fuking wait! may 4th woooooo!!!!

  • wow, first time seeing this video with the "Hi Quality" thing turned on, wow. See soo much more detail.

  • they have come to the uk a few times now and ive missed them each time =(

    how gay is that!

    x

  • 1:51 is the most beautiful thing i have ever heard.

  • His pinch harmonics are the most beastly thing ever. Ever.

  • i like thomas's hair like it is in the vid but he over grew it

  • grew it into some kinda slash hair and tbh he is better than slash =)

    x

  • can't wait to see them in calgary, finally they come to the western part of canada lol

  • can someone tell me how to e-mail this song to a friend? awesome song =)

  • Just copy and paste the link into an e-mail.

It'll automatically hyper-link itself, so it should be easy.

  • holy shit, when are they coming? I'm a Yellowknifer and I could easily make it to Calgary.

  • 1:51 is just about the most perfect feedback I've ever heard. This song kicks the ass of all other songs ever.

  • hahaha you cant hear the bass!

  • i just wish the sound didnt cut off in parts!

    and he is amazing!

  • i cant wait to see them @ the knitting factory in may!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ha dude. i'll see you there.

  • I'll see both of you there haha!

I'm also going to the Glass House in Pomona

    FrEE TICKETS!!

  • Thom is so good, it literally makes me want to stop playing guitar almost. I never thought a band could be discouraging and inspiring at the same time!

  • araghounshap, who the hell goes to a show to hear what they can on a cd???

  • I Love This Video. It's Pretty Much What Made Me Love The Fall Of Troy.

  • did you touch him?

    you were close as fuck

  • LIke OMG DID YOU TOUCH HIM?

  • he plays guitar better than most band's lead guitarists. and he sings/screams better than most DEATHCORE band's lead singers!

    thats freaking amazing

  • maybe you havent seen them live

    maybe just live vids

because they are one of the best bands live

  • I dunno... I love TFOT, don't get me wrong, but I don't think their live performances are up to par with studio versions. I'm not talking about them mixing it up (which is great), but i'm talking about Thom's vocals and overall musicianship live... not so good/pretty bad. And I've seen them live so don't tell me to go see them for a real taste. Don't hate, niggaz, I'm still a fan, but STEP IT UP THOM.

  • I can see what you're talking about but, I thought that in this video they kept it together quite well.

  • hah i seen you hating on their live stuff a lot on a lot of videos anyway yeah i love em too but watch their newer videso they're a lot better ive been a fan since the self titled days and i do admit their live stuff was kinda bad not the music, but the vocals but he's really cleaned it up check out the newer excreations where the bass drum breaks
  • Lose the screaming and they would be a band worth listening to

  • That's what makes them The Fall of Troy you idiot

They're not a group that plays what people want, they make their own sound ; Get used to it

  • Why would you guys give this thumbs down? He is exactly right. They don't play what people want to hear. They play what they want to play, and it is amazing.

  • maybe for you, but i live for these guys. they play what they like, and many people love em.

  • Everyone has their own taste in music and obviously i do not enjoy screaming in music especially this.

  • lol you sound just like my brother...then dont listen to them or diss them on youtube please.

  • this is good but i hope theyre next whole album isnt like this. i kinda liked theyre old jazzy metal break beat sound

  • yea i agree

  • the album that this song is has been out for a while. I like it a lot, it has some different styles in there, some better than others but Fall of Troy fuckin delivers

  • Nice sound on this video.

Considering it's so close to the amps.

  • best guitar player ever!!!!!!
