a lot of mainstream christian rock music doesnt sound like its christian anyway. the lyrics may hold religious messages, but they are very easily misinterprated as a love song, emotional song, etc.

There's no such thing as misinterpretation of music. Songs are made to have different meanings for different people. An example is Skillet - Whispers in the Dark, where it's supposed to be about god speaking to us saying we'll never be alone and he'll allways be with us. Some people view it as a love song from a guy to a girl. Others view it as a parent singing to his/her child. Etc. All of those are fine because that's Skillet's goal, to reach out to everyone, not a specific group of people.

Well actually if you really listen and read the lyrics you can tell that they are Christian rock. But I believe I read somewhere that said they also like to leave a little ambiguity so that you can interpret it anyway you want. But they're definitely Christian rock.
