Funny story: the producer he went to back in the early 90's rejected him and told him "you should go study instead." Now he runs JYP Entertainment, produced music for R Kelly, Will Smith, Lil Jon (+ many others), and owns Rain (not anymore), 2PM, and Wondergirls.

Comment from the producer that rejected him after all these years: "Yeah, I regret it."
