I like that jailbreak music. And the elevator music too. But the beast chase sequence music just doesn't sound as compelling as the Amiga, Super NES, and Geneiss versions.

okay, listen. i vaguely remember there being a cheat code for one of the ports of this game and i'm sure it was the 3D0 port. the cheat unlocked a certain extra cut scene or something

I was a big fan of the Amiga version all those years ago and the 3DO version does look much more impressive with the extra detail.

I also forgot you could use the gun to make a shield :) as I just picked this up for the 3DO and got stuck!

@KiiroBomber some small stuff like taking the elevator up and seeing the scenery, or waiting around when the alien buddy is in screen. After he lets you down the shute he gets captured by some guys, and a couple of other times he is moving around.

Another World = The REAL Europe version name (original version).

Out of this World = The US name.

Outer World = Japanese name.

i have this on 3do and flashback,the cave world looks awesome on outof this world for 3do,in my opinion 3do had the best OOTW and FLASHBACK

I completely forgot they had a 3DO version too. It's interesting because the game feels and sounds different on every platform. The 3DO one here might be best however, everything is higher resolution and looks smoother.

On the other end of things, the one on SNES was just terrible.

A classic game by Delphine back in the days of this, followed by the sequel which came out on the Sega CD, followed by the best looking 2d platforming game ever FLASHBACK!

Another great game that followed was HEART OF DARKNESS, made by Eric Chahi of Another world/Flashback fame. Great game that was pretty much undermarketed and underestimated, definitely worth checking out!

Now if only they made all these classics again but in HD! :)

Actually Eric Chahi had nothing to do with Flashback, though it was inspired by Another World, and I agree that it was epic!

@2PeteShakur Flashback is not a sequel of another world (check wikipedia).

Eric Chahi wasnt involved neither in heart of darkness nor flashback.

There is an HD version of another world released in 2006.

I heard heart of darkness was very disappointing but I never checked it myself.

@ernestd Eric Chahi was involved in Heart of Darkness. If you watched the intro of the game, you'll see Eric Chahi in the very little credits at the start.

@ernestd Heart of Darkness was not the disappointing one. Heart of the Alien was (which was the sequel in which Chahi had little to no involvement). Heart of Darkness had a not so great story and outdated CGI (compared to Oddworld cinematics...) but all the game elements and the (I repeat: in-game) scenery kicked serious ass. And yeah, Flashback is a separate non-Chahi title but it's still great.
