The only thing I don't get is, if he is real, why can they always find fresh tracks but.. no bones, no hair... no ruffled foliage, no trees he rubbed up against... no kill or remnants of a meal... no 2nd footprint leading in a direction... I'll say this either there is some shitty story telling goin on or there are some really horrible scientists on the case.

Actually there has been alot of hair sample collected in the past. They have found snapped saplings and half eatten animals found, even droppings. And for the footprint trails, there are many cases where trails of prints have been followed for up to miles but often the change in terraine (Rocky, hard earth, water)has caused the tracks to end.

It is not that there are horrible scientists. Animal studies is based on classifying animals with others of its kind. But how do you classify a species when you have no other species to compare it to? Sasquatch is niether man, lemur nor ape. So how does one classify Sasquatch, Yeren, Yeh Teh, Yowie, Skunk Apes, Almasty and the others?? We can not. Some scientists feel if we have no physical creature to study nor creature to compare it, it must not be real, leaves no room for wonder.

Animals that die in the forest are rarely encountered by people. Even common animals. Uncommon animals like bears and great apes, which live where their bones are unlikely to be preserved or left alone for long, are practically unrecorded in zoolalogical records as corpuses found in the wild. It only takes a week before even the bones are almost gone in some places and even in sparse and cold areas things disapear very quickly. For something as rare as a bigfoot a corpse will never be found.

ewhssucks has a great point about the dead as it is almost impossible to find animal bones, even in the plains, much less the forest. This doesn't even to begin the debate of how human they are as they could easily bury the dead or die in some hidden area like many other animals do.

We have found many samples of hair that belong to no known animal but they have nothing to compare it to meaning it could be any undiscovered animal, not necessarily Bigfoot. Most of the DNA is contaminated as well.
