  • is html harder than c+ or basic computer programming? im a freshman at a tech school and dont know what to pick as major

    web design or computer tech...

which one has a better job outlook. and which one has little or no programming in it?

  • Are you asking this on every vid you watch? Cause I've seen you ask it somewhere else too ;)

  • Noob!

  • HTML is not a programming language like C or C++, making it a lot easier 2learn & understand.

Web designing only talks about the designing part, that is cosmetics. Its all about aesthetic appeal.

Creating the functional part of a website is called web developing.

A web designer needs 2 be gud wid color combinations, fonts, graphics, Photoshop, flash, layouts. Shud be good at presenting content.

A web developer needs 2 be good at HTML, javascript, dreamweaver,ASP, PHP, Databases like SQL,etcc

  • HTML isn't really a language to learn, you just learn it as you learn CSS and Javascript IMO. It is hard to say which I would choose. Though, I would probably choose computer programming as it will help you most with other languages such as PHP and Javascript. HTML and CSS are very basic and easy languages to learn. Good luck :) 9 months late, I know. Just my 2 cents.

  • Tuesday I have been looking for site that had content on web page design and your site came up. Thanks for the video content!

  • In my eye's as a web designer the most important thing about any web site should be it's usability and it's readability. Cos at the end of the day if you don't make it user friendly how can you expect people to use it.

I'd also like to see more sites looking into offering there users the chance to see there site in normal or larger size font, As well as been able to view a flash site as a non-flash web site, As I know that some of these bookmarklets tend to only work on text based sites.

  • god dammit, I wish I had speakers >.>....God dammit I wish I could read lips too, hard to read lips LOL

  • lmao, I was like you untiLL i GOT MY LAPTOP, BUT if I NEEDED to I would go on a psp or ps3 and watch it although it looks crap

  • You are 100% correct. DHL (one of the biggest delivery companies in the world, very popular in Europe and Asia) has the most UN-readable website. Hurts my eyes so bad.

  • Great Video..

  • hahahha ! ok lol!

  • Have a button on my web pages that allows the user to change the font size. It works quite well and shouldn't be difficult to read. I use Arial for the most part and never a font smaller than 11. The space between the lines is 20.

  • To Chris Pirillo... Can you tell me what is THE EASIEST way for NON

Computer-Savy individuals, such as myself, to create a GOOD LOOKIING AND USER FRIENDLY WEBSITE

  • get a myspace or xanga....it's easy, FREE, and just easy to use

  • Compare The Top 10 Web Hosting

    webhostinglounge dot com

  • Dang, your two screens are huge!

  • This Lynne woman sounds like a nightmare.

  • A 10 font should be standard, and no less that 8. I design sites and have never used a font smaller than 8. Younger people I find often ask me to put smaller font on thier site. I remind them that not everyone has great eyesight or know how to change the font size in the browser or otherwise.

  • well if you have problem with reading small text on firefox mouse try ctrl+mouse scrolling that allows you to change font size in smaller and larger

  • Idea for web browser: Automatic horizontal ruler under mouse position to help you read.

  • Write a FireFox plugin. :)

  • bad aesthetic websites examples: CNN or weather dot com

  • Cocacola has a crap website,The left half is cut off and there is no scroll.

  • you said that that the one i choosed its chose

  • Man, huge browser war in the chat it seemed lol. Well, for my say, I prefer Opera. Maxthon is the best copy of Opera out there but Opera's still the fastest and the original.
