LOL at other people saying your doing something wrong :L personally i think you ride it perfectly. If your horse bucks all you can do is tell it off and ride it forward.. :) i have a mare gelding and rig and i treat them all the smae. My rig bronks with me and the more i argue with him the worse he gets. I say praise the good behaviour and be strict with the bad but not aggressive bcause they are bigger stronger animals than us and will alwyas win! well ridden :)

Keep him trottin if he bucks or he thinks his won !!! and a quick little smack might be a idea :L and if he does it again after the smack smack him again ! and again and again and so on untill he thinks i give up and then pat him after his stopped the bucking :D you dont have to take my advice :D i do ride dont think oh she hasnt got a clue :L thanks x

If i were you, I would not let him stall him up! Kick him through it, that is what I do, and even though you may fall off, get back on and kick him even harder until you push him through it, and then let him walk.

I personally wouldnt gallop my horse around the arena chasing him forward. You should just completly ignore theyr stupid behaviour and get straight back to what you were doing and take no notice of him!!

that horses needs a flog on the arse with the reins and go for a gallop every time he plays, even if you dont flog him on the arse just push him forward cause he cant buck if he is moving forward and i dont mean trotting i mean galloping, have you though thtat he might be yard ar arena sour too also very nice seat, have you ever thought about doing saddle broncs in the rodeo, nce you get the nic of it and get to learn the rythm of the horsse it easy,

@Alishondra This is true... I trail ride my horse, and every time she bucks at a canter (last summer) I would pull her head up then we would slow down and she eventually learned that whever she bucked we would stop (laszy thing)! So this summer, I now have to tough it out and ride her through it... but she is my first A to Z training horse, so I learned something new! We'll get past it! I like the challenge!

Martingales DON'T hurt the horse. They are good. I use one for my mare it helps to controll her, keep her head down, stop her.
