  • 24 y.o and staring to get in love with judo..is it to late to start with it now?

  • @n1cklass of course not

  • Just love the music

  • jezus @2,42m

  • i like this song but its not very fitting for a video like this lol

  • this shows how a crappy song can assasinate an interesting video...

  • it´s the fucking best judo movie ever

  • 0:50 Is he alive?

  • Comment removed

  • The only problem with judo is when your opponent doesn't have a gi on...

  • @RsXdRiFt A lot of Judo throws can be applied to no-gi and in a self defense situation your attacker would usually be wearing clothes, I hope..

  • 0:40 :o

  • Like Light to Flies, these guys at Friday along with In Flames!

  • what technique is this at 2:47 ?

  • 0:53 ? o.O

  • great footage- the musik is making my head hurt.

  • Thumbs up if you muted

  • @TheJudoka666 Hip hop faggot....

  • 0:54 wait he not breathing. 0:56 HEY CHECK IT OUT I DID IT?!

  • Judo is more than a sport. Its a lifestyle!!!

  • I love Judo but I stopped doing it because it was too sport orientated--too many annoying rules (no face contact (e.g., no cross-facing), no leg-locks, and of course no striking). While it is an admirable "art" I believe Judo has lost the "martial' aspect--so definitely not the "Ultimate." We all know what the ultimate martial art is--true, bare-knuckle, Vale Tudo, soccer and stomp kicks allowed....

  • @bourquechris i did tkd for a cpl of years, and it's the same thing. it has lost a lot of its practicality in way of sport. that being said, i'd still love to train in judo! there's instructors who are more interested in training good defense than winning trophies.

  • Its not a Martial Art, silly. Its a sport

  • what the hell with the music? damn

  • i love the twisted tomoe nage at 0:40 ^^

  • Jammer van die muziek.

  • wing chun kicks the shit out of judo ;)

  • @Mickee016 wing chun is for sissies.

  • @Mickee016 LOL troll.....and i bet u know how to do the one inch punch dont ya?

  • why would you put the sound of a turkey getting stabbed on a judo video xD I love judo so effin much

  • nice video... horrible song

  • LOL skip to 0:50

  • Does anyone know the name of the song?

  • @pmm20 "Like Light to the Flies" by Trivium

  • Great compilation and another Trivium fan!

  • 1:53 why did he tap?

  • @AintDoneYet123 he doesnt know how to get out...or tired

  • @AintDoneYet123 he was in a pin and he knew there was no way of getting out of it.

  • bjj and judo are like

ro sham bo and rock paper scissors

    same game different names

  • judo is way underrated (coming from a wrestler) also the most entertaining grappling sport IMO

  • 2:44 kor

  • up if the wresling is the fake art

  • 2:48 fantastic!!!

  • SUPERBE VIDEO BRAVO +++++++

  • Judo is just wrestling with more cloths and it wouldnt be any good in the UFC cause there are no cloths for the fighters to grab onto

  • @jayrodz89 lol we learn how to grab someone without clothers to ...

  • @jayrodz89 never heard of Karo Parisyan or Yoshihiro Akiyama?, they both are great judo fighters kicking ass in the ufc using judo throws

  • @jayrodz89 Lol Wrestling and Judo are very similair the only difference is that Judo has more throws ( once that need cloths to grab unto ) and better groundcontroll. chokes . locks etc and idk about anyone else but we also still learn leglocks here which are quite painfull and effective and there are judoka's in the UFC or MMA that do good for instance Fedor has a blackbelt in judo aswell as being a international master of sports in sambo

  • I like the video, just not a great fan of the music, but that's all good.

  • awesome!

  • now that is an awesome video

  • judo is one of the best martial arts by itself.. but if you mix it with savate, kick boxing or tae kwon do no one will mess with u on street fighting =)

  • There is no ultimate martial art.

  • 6th here

  • Judo is similar to the way large predators hunt. They don't punch or give chase, instead they do a decisive jump on it, throw the prey to the ground and go for the kill: either bite the carotid like tigers or asphyxiate like lions or constrict like large snakes. It is the most basic form of martial arts, on the lower level go punches and kicks, then swordplay and the lowest level are ranged weaponry like bows and rifles.Judo is not more pure then any other just more basic. For the animal inside.

  • best video !!

  • finally a judo highlight that mixes throws with submissions. the other ones are all throws or newaza only... but the music sucks

  • The song ruined the video.. But the compilation is amazing, lovely.

  • I dont think trivium works in this video..

  • Mitsuyo Maeda, the Count Koma considered judô as the ultimate self defensive system. Source: bjj.org.

  • why did you put some horrible music on a nice judo video?

  • crap music

  • 1:40 i have never seen this pin before; is it effective?

  • @theguyi26 I think its called ushiro-kesa-gatame, but he uses a leg-grip, usually it is not very effective, but it depends on the user. In the clip, the opponent looks exhausted, and he's got a god grip.

  • @theguyi26 it is ushiro kesa gatame. very effective

  • @marcosinemb Not ushiro kesa gatame.. Looks like it but isnt. Hand goes on the wrong side.

  • holy crap 0:54 is scary as fuck the guy falls unconscious even with eyes open... what choke is that anyway

  • dude judo is freakin beast but it hurts!!!!!!!!!trust me ive tried it.....never try to flip someone twice ur size..........

  • holy shit the man died at 00:51-00:57

  • I wrestled for 9 years and was pretty decent at throwing people... time to start learning all over again, I start judo next week. I've heard it's pretty similar... but I don't think I ever leg swept anyone in wrestling hahahaha

  • no style can be called ultimate there is attacks defences in other martial arts that can be more effective depending on the person you are and on the person you challange but to create an "ultimate" style of martial arts u need to take out the most effective strikes and blocks from martial art all ower the world and make your own style thats what bruce lee tryed to do when he created jeet kune do. one day an ultimate art might exsist but not today

  • @kaffemartins

There can never be an ultimate martial art there is too many variables.

  • ofcourse judo is a martial art lol! who ever says it is not must be very stupid indeed. A martial art has nothing to do with how great it is, a martial art is an art wich can use as selfdefence, and has a history behind it. There are several more reasons to but both judo and bjj are defenetley martial arts.

  • 2:18! classic! that's why i love judo!!

  • judo is not a martial art.

just kidding hehe. i do judo in japan and im a brown belt

  • ROFL 0:57 ...like a kid in a candy store hahahahaha

  • Terrible fucking music

  • LMAO :55

  • Music is stupid.

  • haha 2.22 holy shit

  • Cool video.

  • i would rather be a top level judoka then a bjj artist or wrestler

  • 1:21 I know the pain.

  • wowwwww what a fucking sport! hey your sensei is an asshole aajajjaja thats what he is, tell him that i wanna fight with him in the standing fight and let see what he say BJJ Basically Jusy Judo. dahhhhh

  • great video!!!what s the name of the song??

  • Judo Is The Best Of The Best Sport Ever

    you know why?

just because that is an ART and a Sport

    Judo Is Perfect Sport *~*

  • I practice Judo and I love it, but I wouldn't class it as a martial art. It's a sport. An awesome sport.

Martial arts don't have rules, and Judo has loooooooots of rules.

And to anyone who is going to go nuts at me, yes, Judo can definitely be used to your advantage in a street fight.

  • @83uoykcuf m8 4 guy from my school (yes im 13) punched me in the face later when they looked at the cctv they saw a blur (yep thats me) beating the crap out of 4 guys who had atleast 2 or 3 years on me they didnt come back to school for a long time

  • @SirStokie Hahaha, nice work mate, nice work.

  • The best are the Japanese , Russians , Brazilians

  • Ha ha 0:54 you killed him.......... I still won right?

  • 2:19,wonderful

  • I aint done Judo since I was a kid-due to head injury.

My legs still twitch when watching the throws, would love to go back to it!

  • Anyone who ever tried Judo in their life and then was forced to leave it or left it on his own wish will always regreat it I guess, I feel the same as you do, and no words can describe what we miss...

  • @Kelly1991gw i Wish i didnt leave!

  • omg devastating 0:50

  • japan straight dominated the olympics... it's like they were born to do it... not being racist or anything...

  • the judoka at 0.50 onwards is an asshole, he shows no concern for his fellow juoka, just enjoying his win. bastard!!!

  • how is judo the ultimate martial art?

  • @ 0:56 omg let go he's dead

  • No he fainted xD

  • 0:41 Badass XD

Which throw is used at 2:27?

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, Judo is cool.

  • listen asshole judo is one of the best martial arts out there. if your dumbass ever watched ufc 90% of the slams in there are from judo. Judo isnt a princess sport either alright motherfucker? Its also an olympic sport. Judo can be used in a street fight and most of the time its what wins the fight. Judo for throws Wrestling for controll and Brazillian jujitsu for ground. Its good to have everything but judo is a must have for throwing and balance.

  • @killgates1

I'd say about 90% of the throws are wrestling. I do love some Judo though!

  • @CodemanCometh only that Judo was developed long bevor there was wrestling (which is "only" entertainment).

don't get me wrong, I love the wwe, but Judo is the real thing!

and bjj was developed out of Judo^^

  • @killgates1 also if you have a half way decent instructor in judo they teach you throws , joint locks, Ground work/fighting and more

  • @killgates1 If you know and are proficient at Judo, you don't NEED wrestling or BJJ or traditional JJ for the other two.

  • @killgates1 Well, since BJJ evolved from Kosen Judo, I have to agree with Killgates. BJJ/GJJ owe a great deal to Judo. In fact, before World War II, Judo's Newaza component was a dominate feature. Helio Gracie didn't 'invent' a thing, he repackaged and tweaked Judo Ne-waza.

I practice BJJ, Judo, Sambo, and Catch Wrestling, and despite my moniker, I prefer Judo. In fact, most Judoka, if they develop strong Ne-waza, have an advantage of BJJ players. Of course, I'm sure this will get me cussed out

  • @bjjbear73 That said, I don't care. It's a fact. In every BJJ gym I've rolled at, they've started from the ground 90% of the time. The ground is VERY important, but there's a lot that can happen between being on your feet and terra firma. A good Judoka or wrestler (GR, CACC, FS, Samboplayer) will exploit that.

However, once said Judoka hits the mat the BJJ player will often dominate because said Judoka doesn't play enough Newaza!

  • @killgates1 yeah, just watch karo parisyan, hector lombar, hidehiko yoshida, shinya aoki or yoshihiro akiyama. that's judo at its best in mma.

  • @killgates1 let the stupid fight off, Judo And BJJ are complementary, its obvious that Judo is the best on throws, and BJJ in ground fight. BJJ & Judo are the bests, If you can be a Thai Boxer too, you have it all...

BJJ its growing bigger, and more organized with best rules and Judgments of the scoring than Judo, Bad administration its killing Judo.

  • Judo is obviously a martial art. But sometimes it is nothing but a martial sport. And we must change it, keeping the essence of judo. It is a martial art and we have to practice as a martial art, not a martial sport.

  • Re: "nothing but a martial sport. And we must change it, keeping the essence of judo" --> Tell that to the IJF with its new rules. NO DIRECT GRABS BELOW THE BELT! That means the double leg is out, low kata guruma is out, and even just touching the guy's leg means you're OUT.

  • ya you are totally right!

those new rules suck! wtf are they thinkin .. :s

this changes judo a lot :(

  • this video is good but it needs sound. I hate it when youtube disable sound on good vids. Anyway, im still going to fave it! =]

  • and wresling, do you think that wresling is not a martial art to, or brazilian jiu-jitsu how is very similar to judo

  • Love the video, any chance you can upload it with a different soundtrack or something, would be ace.

  • @wangginr1 ...i really don't mean to be picky, but "brazilian jui-jitsu" is just a successful marketing package of judo/jujitsu...wrestling is merely a sport, as there is no real martial application to "pinning" someone's shoulders down on a mat for a split second...great sport though...i'll never be in wrestling shape again like i was in college

  • @wangginr1 bjj came from judo

  • @wangginr1 judo is basically a combination of wrestling and bjj after all bjj is derived from judo

  • @wangginr1 Wresling ? :D, wresling is fake, its not fight but game and the "fighters" are only actors !

I really don't know why there is the referee when all the shots are just fake.

  • judo is derived from brazilian jiu-jitsu. jigora kano took the jiu-jitsu , tried to only take out the technique parts without punching/kicking, added some stuff and named it judo. judo also beats wrestling due to the many tricks that will make you tap-out lol. i've also found some videos bout: judo in wrestling. it pretty much owns

  • @rocksfoplox no, judo is derived from ju jiu jitsu - Kano ryu jiu jitsu, and BJJ is derived from judo

  • big deal for me lol i don't kow what the differences are between BJJ and ju jiu jitsu even spelt it wrong (i'm brom belgium)...what are the differences ? i thought jiu-jitsu had brazil roots? please tell me more

  • @rocksfoplox nope it have japan roots :) Jigoro Kano modified some techniques from ju jutsu and add his own i think, try to search on google

  • if your sensi say that judo is not a martial art, your sensi obviously dont now what he´s taking abount, i mean the hole world knows that judo is one of the best martial art´s in the world

  • @wangginr1 Wrestling is like judo but with little clothing on (hard to grab the opponent).

  • @wangginr1 Maybe for sports, but any proper life/death-self-defense system will not completely neglect any aspects of fighting. Punch, Kick, Lock, Throw, Grap, Control. While Judo is without a doubt one of the best systems for the later 4, they completely ignore punching and kicking. Judo is a sport, as is boxing, however that doesn't mean they can't be used for self-defense... They're just very incomplete systems in that regard.

As with all MAs, it's about the fighter not the style..

  • @berg89dk

You might want to research your facts buddy. Judo does include punching & kicking ...shock...awe. Just because its not taught coventionally it doesn't mean that it isn;t part of the art and its history. Judo wasn't developed as a proper life/death -self defense system. No. It was developed as martial art and then into a sport. However its roots - traditional Jujitsu.. was infact...exactly a proper life/death self defence system so we're not far off.

  • @TheMythTheMagic I am quite aware of the origin of Judo being Jiu-Jitsu, and I am also aware of that certain self-defense system's different aspects. I don't want to be arguing over tiny details, but the fact that there are Judo styles / schools that do incorporate kicks and punches, doesn't mean it's part of the art - in fact it's far more likely to mean that the certain school in question has a master with experience beyond 1 art, as is to be preferred.

  • @berg89dk

I don't want to argue either but striking is a part of the martial art collectively. Even if its a very very small part.

  • @TheMythTheMagic Fair does. I didn't consider a few occasional punches for striking techniques, but you are right - if it's there it's there, no matter how limited...

  • @wangginr1 using judo u can break limbs for good with minim use of force . thats the beauty of judo

  • what, are you a fuking cp, judo is one of the best martial art´s in the world with brazilian jiu jitsu and wresling

  • listen its not a martial art,ok ask your sensei he'll tell you....

  • its not a martial art its a sport-change the name

  • karate's a sport.... kung fu is a sport.... BJJ is a sport..., yes judo is sport too, but all these were converted into sport

  • ridiculous comment, so was judo.

i think you'l find judo was first used as the martial art in japan, hence why they're so bleedin awesome at it.

  • i forget why i said that.... but im in no way trying o offend judo.

  • The name of the song is: Dope Die MF Die

  • @wangginr1 The name of the song is : Trivium - Like Light To The Flies

  • what`s the name of the song please!!! incredible video by the way

  • ownage 2:50

  • what a good video, the best judo video I've seen in my life !!!!! I love you <3333333!

  • 2:48 omg, most beautiful und skillful. i bet the white gi guy didnt see it comming...

  • " LONG LIVE THE GENTLE WAY "

  • Judoka has to be calm and fearless. Kicks and punches could be blocked or dodged. I could also kick and punch. My judo comes naturally, no too much thinking. Judo " RULES "

  • When it comes to selfdefense, judo could be leathal. A specialized judoka on "tashi-waza" (standing techniques), namely "combo-throws, cleaned-timedly ones" would throw his/her opponent on a hard surface (concrete, tiles); believe me is not funny, and depends how he fk lands (on your head, shoulder, flatback "hard". It's over, it's finished.

  • This video expresses it all. " JUDO " is super. Its realism, explosive energy, speed and, above all, the use of the oponent's impetus to project him or her is the "CORE" of it. Now, add the rest of the components: Ne-waza, sutemi-waza, and its complete.

  • Name the video to:

Judo - The Ultimate Martial Art

You will get more views ;) just a tip

But video was so great!! 5 stars!! :D

  • When can you do a submissions in judo?

  • If you throw someone to the ground, and they do not land flat on their back, the match continues and you must attempt to submit them or stand back up.

  • amazing athletes man

  • no martial art is ultimate

  • ULTIMATE fighting championship lol

  • excelente vídeo. (:
