i'm probably missing something but how does this end up equaling 24 inches on a jumping side and not 23 and 3/4? thanks for the help

Is there anyway you could just send me a list of the exact materials you used?
Mainly just for the wood, I know I'll need screws and wood glue and all that, I'm just not sure what/how much wood to buy.
