Oh dear... hope you're not in pain! If you cannot close your eye at all you probably need to use artificial tears to protect it from drying. You should be getting better during the 2nd week, if not please please bug them doctors to help you more. I wish you all the best and please let me know how you do or post more about your progress!

@digoxin Thanks. It's actually getting a lot better. I've been using the artificial tears religiously :) It still hurts, but not to such an extreme.
