The later Emu's All live Pink Windmill Show were made 1984-85(ish) and went out 'mostly' live, with VT inserts, from Lenton Lane in Nottingham. In fact, the reception entrance - complete with Central Cake ident on the door windows - can be seen in one dance clip; as can the offices and car park. The very last series - not produced by Colin Clews - who had done all the earlier series, were pre-recorded.
Colin Clews had worked for ATV/Central for around 30 odd years and was a BAFTA winner.
Some of the Emu's World and Emu's Wide World may have been recorded at Elstree in Hertfordshire before Lenton Lane was built and before Elstree was sold to the BBC. The re-location to the Midlands was part of the conditions by which ATV (Midlands) Limited were awarded its franchise. The other main one being a change of company name - hence 'Central Independent Television plc' was born.
The fact that the kids were from the Corona Stage School - now defunct - in London, would also support this.
Hi Wicky just two questions about Emus World When it first started around 1981-82 was it first produced by ATV and then Central, and was it filmed at the ATV Centre/Central House on Broad Street in Birmingham
Thank you for your comments

It was never produced by ATV. First started in 84-85 and as far as I can remember was always recorded at Lenton Lane studios in Nottingham.
