Inmates control the asylum. Still think homosexuality isn't a mental disorder? No respect for law. No respect for police. We should just kill them. Get paramilitary guards.
Seems the city of Sodom and the reactions of Lot's neighbors to being denied "their rights" wasn't a metaphor after all. If you have never read the Bible, do it.
I disagree with Michael savage sometimes, but he is absolutley right when he says that liberalism is a mental disorder!!!! If it was a crowd of conservatives shouting down a liberal like Rachael maddow it would be all over the news. The hyprocrisy Is depressing, but typical.
This is typical behavior from the loony left. They preach tolerance while showing others intolerance. They preach open mindedness while shouting other viewpoints down.
By definition, only the government can violate one's right to free speech. The First Amendment protects citizens from the GOVERNMENT. Private citizens shouting down viewpoints they disagree with may be rude, but it is NOT a violation of the First Amendment.
Well, UMass IS a State sponsored school, and most of the protesters are probably on state aid/loans. So it sounds like government to me. However, I disagree with you - a citizen can violate another's rights. For example, if you used racial slurs, you would be charged with a civil rights violation, even if you don't work for the governement.
Well, no, actually. You can use the n-word or the f-word until your face turns blue. It's perfectly legal as long you don't accompany those words wtih an assault or an incitement for others to do so.
As for UMass, the school is not required by law to maintain silence in the audience. They can decide to suspend an event if things get unruly, and *maybe* the speaker would have a case if that had happened. Those situations are always murky. This is NOT a 1A case.
Your argument is not logically consistent. The first amendment says that Congress will make no law prohibiting free speech. Students, despite being on financial aid, are not congress. Moreover, a civil rights act violation is not a 1st amendment violation. We may have been rude, but if you read Don Feder's website, he doesn't advocate politeness, so it's hard for Feder to blame the students for being impolite.
These pathetic little left wing simpletons just don't have the maturity, intelligence or temperament to make it in the real world. Whatever the alleged merits of your opinion, as soon as you show that the only way you have of asserting yourself is to shout and scream at those who disagree with you, and to censor them, then your position has no integrity whatsoever. I actually felt embarrassed for these kids, to see them acting in such an infantile manner. What are they afraid of? Being wrong?
The best way to protest something that you don't believe in is simply not to go. It is too bad Mr. Feder was not able to practice his first amendment right on account of the ignorant people of the crowd. How do they even know what his message was? They could only assume it was something that they did not believe in and did not allow for him to speak. If they might have listened, they could have learned something.
Nothing prevented him from continuing his speech; I'm not surprised that he threw a fit because he's not used to talking to people who have not been brainwashed.
Don't these idiots understand if they do this, they give conservative students the green light to do the exact, same thing?
