Gerald Posner's book completely debunks all serious conspiracy theories. Oswald acted alone --- that is the conclusion of this highly educated reader. Without the rest of the context on the original video, it's hard to know what exactly they were trying to prove, but it didn't really look like they were trying to "hide" anything. If you look at the Zapruder film, the first bullet was shot before Kennedy and Connelly reached the Nemitz Freeway sign and missed the car all together. I don't see why it's a big deal that the bullet doesn't pass through the neck. The idea was to reconstruct the magic bullet shot and that's what was done. If the bullet passed through JFKs neck rather than his torso, then that was an even easier shot than the one accomplished in the video, making that fact even stronger as the actual bullet went through a mass somewhat smaller than the simulated one. To say the least, I don't understand what exactly you want to (dis)prove here.

Ok, I think there may have been another problem with the Discovery Channel special. I saw the show today and they kept on saying that the "magic bullet shot" was shot while the car was behind the sign in Zapruder's video, so why was it shot several seconds after the car was behind the sign when I watched it here on Youtube?

At one point, I had more than 20 assassination books on my shelf. I have DVDs of the Zapruder film. I was totally open to conspiracy theories. Gerald Posner's book completely debunks all serious conspiracy theories. Oswald acted alone --- that is the conclusion of this highly educated reader. Not only is it the correct theory, it is also the most parsimonious.

But there were eye-witnesses who watched someone shoot from the 6th floor of the TSBD, and the witnesses on the 5th floor who were directly under the window where the shots came from heard 3 shots, the bolt action of the rifle and even the shells hitting the floor! The fact is, if the 'wounds' on the dummies don't line up with the 6th floor, then the dummies aren't anatomically accurate. The point was probably to prove that the bullet could come out 'pristine' after going through 2 people.

Watching this the first time, I didn't get your point. Then, once I figured out what you were trying to say, I rewatched the Discovery Channel bit. Without the rest of the context on the original video, it's hard to know what exactly they were trying to prove, but it didn't really look like they were trying to "hide" anything. It was more like they were running out of time to shoot and needed to throw something together that they thought was "good enough" to prove their point, whatever it was.

I don't believe our government is behind the WTC disaster, but the "official" accounts of JFK's demise never made sense to me. If all accounts or most accounts had shots only from building, why did many (including police officers) rush toward the grassy knoll? Most likely scenario is first shots came from Dal-Tex Building. Final horrible head shot came from grassy knoll and possibly hit almost simultaneously with last Del-Tex shot. LHO may never have even fired a shot!

I agree that all three bullets came from the same place. The Texas Schoolbook Depository. If you look at the Zapruder film, the first bullet was shot before Kennedy and Connelly reached the Nemitz Freeway sign and missed the car all together. You can see their heads turn in amazement before continuing to wave. They were both shot with the second shot and Kennedy mortally wounded with the third.

The one thing I always wanted to see, was if someone could, indeed, make all three shots from the approximate elevation, w/ natural obstructions and a moving target as is suspected to have been accomplished by LHO.
I understand the exact trajectory and wound placement wouldn't be accurate, but it's the mere feat that I would like to see replicated.

I don't think they (Discovery Channel) were trying to prove the trajectory, per se. I think they were trying to show that it is a fact, a bullet of that caliber from a high powered rifle, could've very well done the damage it did to both the president, and the governor.

i think the final round came from the storm drain because the way his head kicks back and it seems he raises a bit in the seat.
i have only saw the clip a couple times but at the storm drain there is a cops bike. not unusual but it is faceing the opposite way ??the way they came from.
the bike seems to be being reved up 'lot of smoke out the exhaust for it ticking over.

I don't see why it's a big deal that the bullet doesn't pass through the neck. The idea was to reconstruct the magic bullet shot and that's what was done. If the bullet passed through JFKs neck rather than his torso, then that was an even easier shot than the one accomplished in the video, making that fact even stronger as the actual bullet went through a mass somewhat smaller than the simulated one. To say the least, I don't understand what exactly you want to (dis)prove here.

The reason the police went into the book depository in the first place is because witnesses saw the rifle. Employees of the building heard the shots come directly above them.

And HOW do you account for the bullet wound to the head? Clearly in many videos, President Kennedy's head went BACKWARDS with half of the top of his head blown off -- and it seemed at close range. A bullet from the back from the trajectory shown still doesn't account for his head snapping backwards. Nobody seemed to mention that one... That "magic bullet" theory is a crock of crap.

@Coventry27 first, entry wounds tend to be small holes and exit wounds are where the damage comes into play. Second, JFK first lunges forward with the head shot, and is then blown backwards and falls to his left. His muscles are contracting due to neurological damage. The shot wouldn't have had that much of displacement force on his body anyway.
