  • what a rube.

ben stein should be gang raped by a bunch of apes by sticking their opposable thumbs up his asshole. evolution strikes back!

  • Light bulbs don't reproduce.

  • So doesn't a rock. How was it created?

  • You misintepreted me.

  • Great vid!

  • I interjected my analysis of what they were saying...if you don't get it, that's your problem. I didn't "cut scenes" in order to take them out of context either, if that's what you're implying. Perhaps you're just upset that Hannity and Stein have been called out on their lies.

If anything's "bullshit", it's the movie. It makes false claims on false pretenses using trumped up "academic freedom" issues that have been completely debunked.

  • I hear a lot of nothing coming from you nick. Evolution is proven with mountains of evidence. If you choose to ignore the evidence, you will remain ignorant. Whether you like it or not, evolution is at the very core of modern science. In fact, without evolution, we wouldn't have an understanding of DNA, cellular biology, paleontology, or been able to map the human genome.

Your ignorance is astounding. If you choose to believe supernatural pseudo-science, you lose.

  • "BULSHITBULSHITBULSHITBULSHITBULSHITBULSHITBULSHITB ULSHITBULSHITBULSHITBULSHITBULSHITBULSHITBULSHITBU LSHITBULSHITBULSHITBULSHITBULSHITBULSHITBULSHITBUL SHITBULSHITBULSHITBULSHITBULSHIT"

nick; you sound like a 3-year-old with Tourette's Syndrome who just found out that Santa Claus isn't real. Grow up, start living in the 21st century instead of bronze-age fairy tales. Time to give up your imaginary friends.

  • nick62893: You DO realize the interviews in expelled were HIGHLY edited, yet you seem to have big problems with editing in this video...you're a hypocrite just like everyone else who supports ID.

  • "people took our god away"

I didn't think Stein could sink any lower. Although I do love watching him admit that it's really about religion and not science. Especially when the movie said it was all about science and not religion.

The bit about evolution not explaining thermodynamics was far dumber, but I've already heard it. And I enjoyed the whole "they took our god away, and we want him back!" sentiment, all it needed was a lip quiver and a mother coming on stage to comfort him.

  • I feel sick everytime Stein confuses evolution with abiogenisis.

  • Typical creationist ploy. They can't really refute the evidence for evolution, so they fall back on "so tell me where the first cell came from", which has nothing to do with evolution.

  • When hearing Ben Stein and those related to 'Expelled' speak about the connection between Hitler and Darwin they constantly state that making the link was unintentional. Some ID supports have even gone as far as stating that historians have concluded that the link exist. This is categorically false, and is not mentioned in any history book that mentions Hitler. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has explicitly stated that Expelled is wrong.

  • When Stein and the producers of Expelled are presented with facts that attempt to elegantly (actually clumsily) attempt to distance the conclusion that one can make about their comment.

  • Good vid, but it is starting to seem impossible to poke holes into the religious right from science. Their dedication to their mythology is much too strong. I don't know what it will take to open their minds.

  • Or as my pal Fritz used to say "Another

six million and we Germans would have

    invented the microwave oven".

    Long live Orville Redenbacher!!!

  • BTW, Stein admits that ID is not science in my video.

And, if you post here one more time using language like that (not very 'godlike' is it?) you'll be blocked.

  • Dawkins was asked to imagine a scenario where 'intelligent design' could be plausible. His scenario was that a being sufficiently complex and intelligent to create life on earth would have had to EVOLVE slowly over time and that perhaps that evolution could have happened on some other planet. Sound crazy? Well, that makes more sense scientifically than believing an all-knowing, all-powerful god has always existed and just poofed the universe into existence...and it still supports evolution.

  • The film was in 'constant motion'? What a crock of BS!

Quote from PZ Myers: "I mean, seriously, not telling one of the sides in a debate about what the subject might be and then leading him around randomly to various topics, with the intent of later editing it down to the parts that just make the points you want, is the video version of quote-mining and is fundamentally dishonest."

  • Most inappropriate name for a product Ben Stein shills for:

    "Clear Eyes" eye-drops.

If I were them, I'd sue Stein's ass off.

  • I've met meth heads that told the truth more than Ben. He can't even stand by his own movie. He lies in the movie, then in the promotion, he lies about his lies. Dennis Rodman's wife once caught him in bed with another woman. She said, "Who is that woman?" Dennis replied "Her?, she must have fallen out of the ceiling."

  • Was it Madonna???

  • Come on. Admit it. You're thinking about punching Ben Stein in his face right now. Aren't you?

  • He'd probably sue for an insane amount, so I'd prolly just spit at his feet, that nasally-voiced lieing prick.

  • "There is a big Difference between Intellectual Capacity and Reason"

    Statement of the year!

    Great Video.

  • Thanks! Glad you liked it.

  • I used to believe in Santa Claus then I grew up. I used to believe in religion then I turned 11 and grew up. Teaching ID in school would be like teaching the world is flat. It would be like teaching magical invisible faeries live in flowers to make them grow in a botany class. ID supporters state that they want both sides to be taught in school. There are no sides in this debate. Science wins. If you want to teach ID do it in church or in your own home. Religion has no place in school!

  • Lovin' the sound track. Well done.
